- Placements: Even though the college is Tier-3 still the avg package in metallurgy branch ( core ) is 9LPA+ which is phenomenal and comparable to top NIT's
- Student intake: Nowadays where pvt college are having a Student itake of more then 1000 in a single branch, our whole college ( 1st to final year) combined don't have more then 1000. (Almost 250 students per year )
Dislikes
- Infrastructure: The buildings are old as the college was established during 1960's and also due to low student Intake college is not expanding or making new buildings for any purpose.
- Campus area: I won't say thay I dislike it but campus is quite small. The whole college is of about 68 acres but half of the land is under residential area making it even more small
Remarks :
The major factor was rank on JEE, as I got around 90k in JEE mains which is not a very good rank. I was getting North eastern NIT so after comparing it with NIFFT, I found out that it is much more affordable, accessible and good as compared to them ( in terms of core branch ) . Also I checked the fee structure, ROI, Campus placement, Campus life and it was decent if you want to spend a good college life along with a job after 4 years ( specially in metallurgy). There are few demerits like small campus, less exposure etc but it is manageable as it produces good rankers in GATE and CAT.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Choosing this course ( B.Tech Metallurgy ) was more of an gamble because I was not getting CSE in any other government college, and after checking past history of Metallurgy in this college, I was bound to take this branch over mechanical. Coming to the faculty of this college, most of them have done PHD from IIT or NIT with minimum 5-10 years of teaching experience. Also after addition of two more branches, new faculties are being recruited frequently and have a good teaching skill. If you have interest in the subject then you can bond well with the professor and if u don't have interest then there's no use of attending class as you won't understand anything Previously there used to 2 mid sem exams and 1 end sem which was hectic as the whole semester we used to be under pressure for exams but in new policy we only have one mid sem and 1 end sem so we can study well.
Internships Opportunities :
Faculties help very much in providing you internships, one proffesor of my branch gave me a project based internship at IIT Guwahati last year. Also if will consult collectively, they can arrange an industrial visit and on site internship. Internship opportunities are available at TATA Steel, Ayena innovation, SAIL Bokaro etc
Placement Experience :
Placements are decent, in metallurgy avg package is around 9 LPA while in mechanical avg package is around 7.5 LPA. Companies like L&T , Mahindra , JSW , Vedanta , TATA Metaliks etc visits every year and provide handsome package to students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
the overall tution fee is ?34,000 while mess fee is ?45,000 ( may vary if you want to stay during vacations) . Apart from this, internet fee, library fee, examination fee, medical fee, Gymkhana fee and etc sums up to ?26,200. This is the complete breakdown of fee per year for our batch 2022-2026 . A nominal increase is also noticed in fee structure for new batches but it is almost negligible.
Campus Life :
Campus life is decent, Fest named Jinks-Pranav occurs every year in april ( although it didn't happend last year due to internal issue ). Library is not so big neither the collection is huge, mostly books are of old publications. Various clubs are present is college including SAE, Sports, Dance, EDC etc. Extra curricular activities like sports fest , Jazba are conducted every year An NGO named KARTAVYAA ( you can even check on Google ) is fully run by college students along with help from the administration, founded by our alumni.
Hostel Facilities :
Mess food is ok ok but hostels are good, they have provided single rooms to students of 2nd year and onwards for sled preparation. Rooms are large for one single person to accomodate and can do whatever he wants. In case of girls there is some issue as they have to stay is double seater for the whole graduation years due to less availablity of rooms.

Placements are the main reason people come here. For Electrical, big players like Tata Steel, JSW, and Vedanta are regulars. The average package stays around ?7–8 LPA, while the highest can go up to ?15–20 LPA for core branches. You become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. I’m planning to sit for GATE as well, as many seniors here aim for PSUs. For internships, the college helps with vocational training in places like DVC or HURL, though paid internships are something you usually have to hunt for yourself on LinkedIn.
Average University in Jamshedpur in low fee
Placement Experience :
You have to at least maintain 7CGA for sitting in placement season company like Wipro Infosys come here placement season. Average package of BBA is 4.5 lakhs. Almost 80% Student are placed through campus placement. My plan after getting degree pursuing MBA
My Dream College
Placement Experience :
College give only about 30% placement and there is very few companies or hospitals which are visited to the college for the employees. You have to do it with yourself when you are go to the internship. The highest and average package as I see is about 30,000 per month and maximum to 50,000 per month And I saw that student who top is maximum getting chance for the placement which is rare .
Netaji Subhas University is best for engineering in low fee and for who is already doing job

You have to not active backlog in any subject. 8+ cgpa perefer first then below 8+. Eternal achievers, infinite solution, paul tech like local jamshedpur it company visit for placement. 80% students placed from our university. I will look for higher education.

I don't have any specific information about placements because I am still studying, but some seniors have got jobs which tells me that everything is fine. There are some seniors who work in Tata Motors and DRDO with good payments.
The honest review of GD bagaria college

The intern is provided for training in nearby schools in 3rd semester. It is unpaid internship basically done under the curriculum.It is compulsory for the students to complete this teacher's training to get the B.ed degree. There is no such placement opportunities You have to go off campus to get placed in any school.

There is no campus placement in this college, so we have to plan our own jobs or internships after completing the course. Eligibility criteria for jobs depends on companies, mostly they ask for basic knowledge and skills related to the course. Some students do internships on their own in local companies or online. Since there is no official placement, there are no recruiters, packages or offers from college. Around 0% students get placement from college itself. My plan after degree is to prepare for government jobs and also apply for some private jobs related to my field. Overall, college is good for learning, but for placements you have to work on your own

"Placements in my college are slowly improving but still not at the level of top engineering colleges. Some companies visit every year but the number of offers is limited. Students who have good skills and prepare on their own get opportunities easily. The eligibility for sitting in placements is usually 6.0 CGPA and no major backlogs. Recruiters like small IT companies, training firms and a few core-related companies have visited. The highest package was around 6–7 LPA and the average stays near 3 LPA depending on the branch. Around 25–35% students get placed from campus and others go for off-campus drives. Internships are mostly arranged by students themselves through online platforms. After completing my degree, I plan to prepare for off-campus jobs and also improve my technical skills to get a better job in company or in government job
Expensive college with mediocre placements
Placement Experience :
Placements are mediocre in my branch ece. Last year 60-70 percent students are placed. Average package is 13lpa approx and highest in my branch was 58lpa. Core companies like NXP come for placement. Tech companies like foipkart, meesho, visa, goldman sachs come for placement.
