VIT pune is one of the top colleges in pune. It has a very good reputation and is visited by the best companies in the country during placement. The college course is designed for a more hands on learning experience. It includes making of several number of projects every semester. One drawback the college has faced from this year is the increase in intake. VIT has tripled their FY intake from previous year. This has generated a lot of competition for placements.
VIT pune offers several courses across 4 years. I chose IT because it is one of the most reputed and oldest course in the college. It has syllabus tailor made for current industry needs and requirements. It has a very good placement record. The HOD's and Professors from the IT department are all PHD holders and have a minimum of 10+ years of teaching experience. The teaching method utilised at VIT pune is exceptional. The use of projects to help understand concepts ensures a hands on learning expereince. There are 2 written exams held per semester. There is a course project to be made for each subject per semester. A viva and a lab practical. Both exams are at a duration gap of 3months. The difficulty level of the exams is challenging yet can be aced using the professors class teachings and notes.
The eligibility criteria for placements is clearing the sem exams. Every year 120+ companies visit the campus hiring 1500+ students. Some of the recruiters are NVIDIA, Amazon, Barclays, Bosch, Infosys, Mercedes, Morgan stanley, Oracle, Emerson. Last Year the highest package offered was 51 lacs per annum and 44 lacs per annum the previous year. The offer was made by amazon. I plan to sit in placements after my 4th year and aim to secure a good package.
The total fee for OPEN and OPEN OMS students is 1,93,000 rupees per year. For OBC EBC EWS SEBC students it is 1,12,000 per year. For TFWS, VJ/DT/NT, SBC, J&K over and above students it is 31,000 per year. For SC, ST, J&K PMSS students it is 6000 per year. The mentioned fees includes tuition, developement, eligibility, exam and university fees. The fee is NOT INCREASING for the duration of the course. There are scholarships available on merit cum need basis. 13000 worth of fee is forgiven on basis of the scholarship.
VIT pune offers a good interactive campus life. The campus is small however packed with interesting activities. The college is known for its clubs which caters to every single interest a student has. They deal with event planning, sports, singing, dance, entrepreneurship, tech clubs, coding clubs, personality development clubs, adventure and expedition clubs. Each club has small events and activities every single month thus engaging students. The library in VIT pune is also very good. It offers a very large number of books. It also offers FREE access to IEEE research papers. . There are 3 canteens in college which offer a variety of foods and drinks at affordable prices. There also are brand outlets like kiosk coffee, Puna bakery and nescafe. VIT hosts several major fests and events. The first event experienced by new students is the exciting freshers party. Then in the month of february the VISHWAKARANDAK and Crescendo takes place. Its the biggest event.



I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
