- The infrastructures and campus life at the campus is pretty interactive and amazing. Any student will love their 4 years in MIT. I would say this is the best college for the campus life and have an amazing infrastructure. There are no complains regarding that. Faculties are also interactive as for every student one mentor is assigned for you for the whole four years where you can discuss every sort of problems with them. Student to faculty relation is quite moderate.
- During fests and cultural events , many big influencers and speakers are invited and students get to interact with them. There is no sort of problems in terms of infrastructures because we have 5 academic buildings and 23 hostels which is enough.
Dislikes
- There’s nothing as such to dislike about the campus life and infrastructure as they are actually very amazing. But the quality of faculties can depend on your branches and luck because not all the faculties are same. There teaching styles are different and some students can find it interesting and some cannot.
- If we talk about the campus life, there is a permission time for the hostels which is 10 PM for freshers and 11 PM for senior students. I think that could be one of the points which students might dislike.
Remarks :
Manipal Institute of technology, is a well reputed college among the private colleges in India. It was well known for its academics and placements. It has an entrance exam MET that happens every year. It is the only way you can get into MIT. I got my rank under 4000 and securely got ECE branch in counselling. Choosing the main campus was the best decision because i had a chat with many seniors and they told to trust the main campus. MET( Manipal Entrance Test) is conducted twice a year and it has only one round. After the exam, you go through counselling where you opt for the branches of your preference. Exams are pretty moderate where you need only in-depth knowledge of the subjects.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The main reason behind me choosing this course was the interest behind Electronics. If we talk about the curriculum and academics of my college, i would say it’s much better than other colleges. MIT has a very diversified system where they have divided the whole exams into many sub-exams where it becomes so easy for the students to prepare well and to reallocate stress also. Difficultly level is moderate for all the exams but you need to prepare well and study everything in depth. In every semester, there is a mid-semester examination followed with an end-semester examination. Other than that, they have few assignments for every subjects. I found the curriculum pretty relaxing and interactive because of the faculties. The teaching staff are on of the key reasons to opt for the course. Some of the professors are actually good but some are of average level.
Internships Opportunities :
Almost 90% of companies that come offers internships for every student. Yes i opted for an internship at Deloitte India in Bengaluru. I will be starting it in February,2025. Stipends depends on the companies and the role offered. The tech internships ranges from 40000-50000 where as for the non tech roles, it ranges from 20000-40000. The most famous roles that offered includes Software developers, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, etc. I did one project under Machine learning technology where I developed a software which calculated the consumption of drugs among the people of India. I was offered tasks for every week and the reports for the same has to be submitted to the designed faculties every week.
Placement Experience :
Placements are job opportunities are the biggest attraction of the college. MIT provides number of opportunities to the students in every field. It provides placements to almost each student upon availability. Out of all the companies, 90% of the companies have one criteria i.e. having a minimum of 6 CGPA and no backlogs and you’re all set to go after that. The placement season stays for around 9-10 months every year where around 400-450 companies visits the campus every year. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, NVidia, Black rock, Deloitte are some of the biggest recruiters every year. There are numerous profiles you will be offered in every branch. The highest package offered here was around 60 lakhs/annum offered by Microsoft. The average package ranges around 7 lakhs to 9 lakhs per annum. The placement percentage of the college is around 80%. After getting the degree, I’ll go for higher studies in the same field.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year-wise fees that I paid for Electronics and Communication was 4,85,000 per year. The fees depends on branches you are in. There is a common fees for first year for all that is around 3,50,000. From second year onwards, fees is 4,85,000. All the charges and fees like, admission fees, development fees, labs fees and every other examination fees are included in this tuition fee. The top branches starting from Computer science to Electronics and Communication have their fees i.e. 4,85,000 where in case if you’re a student of lower branches likes mechanical or related branches, the fee structure is comparatively lower i.e. 4,25,000 per year. The hostel and accommodation charges which includes mess, etc starts from 1,10,000 to 1,90,000 per year depending upon the room you’re choosing (i.e. single, double, AC/NON-AC). The overall fees keeps on increasing for the upcoming batches, there is a 8-9% raise in the fee structure every year and scholarships are provided for top 200 students.
Campus Life :
If we talk about campus & social life, MIT will surely top the list. It has definitely the best campus life. Students spend there maximum time enjoying the campus life so well. Our college campus has a lot of fun chilling places where students assemble and spend their free time together. You will get to meet many friends of different cultures and traditions. Our college conductus 3-4 fest every year which includes one Tech fest (Entrepreneur and business fest), Revels( the biggest cultural fest) and Tech-Tatva( technical fest) where many programmes are organised for students as well as faculties. We have a big library where there is a maximum availability of books for every student. Colleges conducts sport fest every year which includes each and every sports. Also many student project groups are there where you can join and increase your knowledge: these included AeroMIT( Student project of Aeronautics), RoboManipal ( robotics ) , TeamKarting Manipal.
Hostel Facilities :
I spend two years in hostel. There are about 23 hostels in the campus for both boys and girls. Infrastructures are very amazing and the hostels are very famous. One of our hostel ( BLOCK-10) is the second largest hostel in India. Food quality of the mess is also above average and the menu is too vast. You get 4 meals a day of different menus on different days. Special menus are there on sundays. Registration process for the hostels are very simple for the freshers as they get the room of their choices in the first year subject to availability of the rooms, you have to apple for the preferences and after the counselling, you are allowed with the hostel and also you can change it anytime. From second year onwards, Hostels are provided upon your academic performances and it keeps changing. I lived outside campus for the rest 2 years. The famous localities are Vidyaratna Nagar, Eshwar Nagar and some of the famous localities are Mandavi Emerald. The student life outside is also very good.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
