i choose don bosco institute of technology (dbit) in mumbai due to its good academic reputation , modern infrastructure , and strong placement opportunities . admission process entrance : admission is through MHT -CET or JEE Main. management quota: Limited merit based seats. direct second year admission : available for diploma holders. preparation tips:- focus on previous papers and mock tests. time management is crucial. good aspects of dbit:- Quality faculty and updated syllabi. well equipped labs and classrooms . good placements opportunities. supportive staff. areas for improvement. More extracurricular events. limited parking space canteen needs better food options.
Course Curriculum Overview :
the curriculum covers key subjects in it , keeping up with industry trends . Faculty members are experienced and approachable , using practical exams in teaching . i choose this course for its strong career prospects and interest in software development. most faculty holds advanced degrees and provide clear explanation, using practical sessions to strengthen concepts. exams are conducted on time on time with modern difficulty required consistent study and practice.
Internships Opportunities :
yes don bosco provides several internship opportunities for students especially those persuing be in it . the college has strong industry connections, and many companies collaboration with the institute for internships , providing students with valuable experience. internship opportunities :- 1. TCS 2. Capgemini i have done internship in these two companies roles offered were software developer intern and web development intern . stipend in first internship was 6000 rs a month on average students get 2000 - 12000 a month in form of stipend internship projects and tasks. developing a client side web development application to automate business processes. tasks :- working on front end technologies like html css and javascript and integrating APIs with backend systems.
Placement Experience :
placements and job opportunities dbit offers decent placements for students. eligibility criteria : minimum 60 % aggregate is the criteria for placements top recruiters of the college in placements are capgemini , tcs , infosys and accenture. placements offers over 100+ offers annually. packages : the highest pacakage is around inr 10 lpa while the average stande at inr 4 lpa . placements rate : approximately 80 % of students get placed. after completing the degree i plan to persue a career in software development or enroll in higher studies for specialization.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Don Bosco Institute of technology (DBIT) in mumbai has a transparent and structured fee system, although it has seen gradual changes over these years . year wise fee breakdown: When i enrolled in DBIT as a fresher the yearly fees was as follows. FIRST YEAR:- approximately 140000 RS SECOND YEAR : Approximately 143000 RS THIRD YEAR : Approximately 150000 Rs FOURTH YEAR : Approximately 155000 Rs The largest chunk of fees is of tution fees which is the 4/5 percent part of the fees . rest goes in development fees lab fees and caution deposit 5000 goes in exams and miscellaneous fees .
Campus Life :
life at DBIT is vibrant with several events and clubs. Festivals: The main fest , "euphoria," is held in february. library : well-stocked with books and journals. classrooms: equipped with modern amenities and projectors. Sports : there are facilities for football, basket ball and cricket along with right equipment for the purpose. Clubs : robotic club coding club and cultural society helps students engage beyond academics.
Hostel Facilities :
dbit offers hostel facilities with clean, well-maintained rooms and basic amenities. hostel mess: the mess provides hygienic food with a standard menu that changes weekly . vegetarian and non vegetarian options are available. infrastructure: hostels have wifi ,24 hour security , and common recreation areas. application process : students need to fill out an online form during admission and pay a refundable caution deposit. affordability: hostel fees are reasonable compared to mumbai rental rates. locality for rental: many students perfer renting rooms or staying pg around kurla vidyavihar and ghatkoper which are well connected to the college by public transport. these areas have good food options and affordable living spaces.

It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. Internship was also provided by college to give students practical experience and knowledge about current changing environment.

i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track

no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.
