The admission to VIT is conducted through CAP rounds which are held after MHTCET result declarations. A student can get admission based on MHTCET as well as JEE score. The cutoff for general category is very high (above 98 percentile for CS related branches). VIT is known for its clubs, societies and placements.
The curriculum at VIT is par with industry standards. VIT updates its curriculum after very 2-3 years. Programming is mandatory for every branch including core branches. Some faculty here are exceptional having good knowledge and some are just ok. The difficulty of mid sem and end exams is moderate because the exams are conducted at VIT level only. It is relatively easy to maintain a good CGPA at VIT.
The placements at VIT are good for good students. If you are a student who is serious in studies, have decent CGPA then your chance of getting a placement is higher. In CS and related banches, around 60% people gets place by the end of fourth year. Placements of entc, mech are slightly lower because companies don't allow entc to sit for placements because of branches like CS with AI, CS with AIML and AIDS. The top recruiting companies are blackrock, nvidia, ibm, qualys, barclays, hsbc, J P morgan, morgan stanley, nutanix, bny, red hat, MSCI, wolters kluwer and many more.
The fee gets increasing by some percent. The fee for general category is around 190000 per year. For SC/ST its 4000/- per year The are many financial aids and scholarships available for girls. But yes VIT has more fees than other colleges in Pune
The social life at VIT is very good. There are many clubs and societies that one can join and make good friends and connections with seniors. There are all types of clubs right from tech clubs to extra curricular clubs which one can join. Opportunities of sports are slightly lower because the ground is used for parking vehicles.
VIT has its own hostel but its very small. So people prefer to live in private hostels for rent a flat. There are many mess options available near VIT. The food is good(Maharashtrian food).khau galli is very famous for mess
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .

engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
