Since VIT is known as third best college of Pune, it has very prestigious reputation all over Maharashtra and that’s what made me choose this college. Plus the college is autonomous so it makes it better for you to work on your external skills.
I chose this course because of my interest in ENTC and its application in modern industry. Vit pune’s strong academic reputation and industry collaboration were key factor in my decision. The faculty members are highly qualified with many holding Phds and long experience but many of them dont actually give a fuck about students they just do their job and leave which i’d say happens in most of the colleges so thats fine ig. This year exams were conducted very late for FYs. They conduct both mid sems as well as end sems and most of those papers are online.
You should surpass the minimum cgpa criteria required to sear for the placements which is above 7 and above 8 for some companies. VIT has many good companies visiting every year. Almost every student gets placed every and the highest packages are crazyyyy.
The total college fees is 1,90,000 rs. However for OBC students it’s reduced to 1,10,000 rs. While ST students pay around 60,000 rs. Girls are exempt from tuition fees but must pay 30,000 rs. for development, lab and other charges. These fee structure is designed to support different categories of students based on reserved policies.
VIT’s club culture is very huge and that’s the firstmost thing i like about my college. Every club have it’s very own events throughout the year. The main events are Vishwakarandak, Vishwotsav and Crescendo ( this year). Classrooms are okayish and library facility is good.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
