- The infrastructure, campus life everything is well to do and I am truly satisfied with it.
Dislikes
- It would be better if the biology teacher, Dr. Kamal Das, focuses more into teaching rather than discussing on baseless topics.
Remarks :
The colleges has good infrastructure, campus, people, everything. Has all sports equipments, gym, etc. For admission, we need to fill up a form and if their criteria matches with my records then we are asked to pay the admission fees of ?10000 via online. The criteria is student must score a min of 60% or above in HS and a valid score in JEE Mains or CEE.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I am very fond of CSE branch since childhood. Especially programming. The faculties are highly qualified and are friendly enough while interacting with us. I really like their way of teaching. The term exams are held every month and the difficulty level is moderate and sometimes even very difficult.
Internships Opportunities :
No I didn't opted for internship till now because I am just in the 2nd semester now. But I would surely opt for one after I get into 3rd or 4th semester as I really want to be a part of it. I want to explore and learn many other things and gain knowledge regarding the same.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placement is well scored marks, confidence, skills, informative intelligence. Flipkart, Amazon, TCS, etc. The highest package offered was 8LPA and average was 6LPA Around 75%-80% of students gets placements. My plan after getting the degree is to work in a high profile job and become a successful person.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fees for the 1st semester is ?32000 and from 2nd semester, it's ?50000. Caution fees is ?10000 which is refundable. Registration fees is ?2000. Admission fees is ?10000. Development fees is only to be paid in the 2nd semester, 4th semester and 6th semester which is ?10000. Lab fees is not taken. Electricity charge is ?5000 which is to be paid only in the 1st, 3rd and 5th semesters. For library, ?2000 needs to be paid in the 2nd, 4th and 6th semester and also student welfare fund is ? 5000 and to be paid in the 1st, 3rd and 5th semester. Students who scored more than the cut off marks have got a scholarship I.e. they only need to pay 50% of the college fees. A different scholarship program is also there for the college students who matches up to the criteria for it.
Campus Life :
The name of the fest is Euphuism. It is generally conducted in between February to March. Library has all the books in good condition required by the students. The classroom has well working fans, lights and the college also has generator in case the electricity cuts off.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality is worth eaten and different dishes are provided everyday. Eg. Rajma chawal, egg curry, paneer, chicken, idly, etc. The affordability is also very good. The price is very cheap compared to other hostels and PG.

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
