This is a government college affiliated under Guwahati University, this was the main reason as to why I chose this college. The college has an excellent reputation in Guwahati which is another reason why I chose this college. I didn't had to appear any written tests or interviews for admission as it was done based on my merit for my 12th board exams. I did do a group discussion with my cousins who were passouts of this college and they absolutely insisted me to take the admission.
The course curriculum is a little outdated with the syllabus but overall the course is great. Academics in Dispur College is very good with great teacher, professors and mentors. They are very welcoming and caring towards their students. Also the whole faculty including watchman, helpers, etc are very wholesome and favourite among all the students.
No, I haven't opted for any internships yet. Although my friends have opted for many internships referred by Dispur College and their experiences have been great. I also wished to opt for interships but couldn't due to some personal reasons but over-all dispur College comes up with great internship opportunities, that's for sure.
My personal plans after completing the course is to do Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) as dispur College has very minimum placement or job opportunities. The college has been great at providing internship opportunities but when it comes to placements, the college is unable to fulfill is completely. Although it's not totally null, there comes one or two placement opportunities but no more. I want to be employed after I complete my masters so my plan after this is to do masters.
Firstly, the fees of the course hasn't increased and probably will not in the future. Every semester, the admission fees is Rs.13,780 and there are a total of 6 semesters, which comes for a total of around 83,000 (roundoff figure) and yearly it's Rs.27,560.
The social life in dispur College is very awesome with various activities/events being held frequently. Many events are held every month with special guests which is great. Also the regular days of the college are very good with friendly atmosphere, and wholesome seniors. Various games and activities are carried out by the students every day, specially in the evening in the college field.
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
