- The faculty is super good experienced and knowledgeable.
- The campus life is ok if you like your alone time and not much to do here.
Dislikes
- Its situated in a mountain so walking is hell.
- There are very limeted shops and no food courts .
Remarks :
Its ranked 3rd in himachal in academics and yes i had to take the NEET UG exam to take admission in this college with rank of 90000. The admission is based on national level. Counselling process and reporting once you have been selected .
Course Curriculum Overview :
Because i liked the idea of treating patients and the money that comes with it . For faculty the taching staff need to have a MD or MS degree and years of experience in teaching they are real doctors. Weekly FA and 2 mid sem exams with yearly proff exam
Internships Opportunities :
Intership is compulsory in MBBS in the college itself. You basically work as a medical intern assisting in OPD and OTs . Its for 12 months with 15 paid leaves. You are posted in 20-21 departments stretched over a course of 12 months.
Placement Experience :
Elegibility criteria is that you can work as an MO after internship completion and depends on vacant seats in hospital. The salary is fixed at 55000/- 6.5 lakhs / annum Mostly students get placed. I plan to pursue a MD degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The starting fee from 2024 has changed .... For state quota of himachal 40 seats First year 1200000 including 150000 of hostel and mes charges with 10% hike every year for 5 years For management quota 110 seats 2000000 per annum including hoatel and mess charges of 150000 and 10 % hike every year for 5 years
Campus Life :
See the only fest here is freshers and the mediolympics which is the yearly sports event Every book with international author is available in the liberary . Sports and extracurricular is limited though they have clubs for music.
Hostel Facilities :
There are 4 hostels 2 for boys and 2 for girls with each room having occupancy for 2 people and an attached bathroom. Each hostel has a mess to with food is catered from a centeral mess of the university. Hostels are compulsory and are allotted during your addmission.
