- Campus Life & Lifelong Friendships Life at NIT Warangal is much more than just lectures and exams. The campus is always buzzing with activities—tech clubs, cultural societies, and major fests like Technozion and SpringSpree. These events aren’t just about competition; they’re about teamwork, creativity, and having fun with friends. Late-night hostel conversations, chai breaks after long study sessions, and random adventures with batchmates create memories that stay for a lifetime. It’s a place where you not only grow academically but also as a person.
Dislikes
- Extreme Weather & Infrastructure Issues Warangal’s climate can be quite harsh, with scorching summers making it difficult to move around the campus during the day. While the campus is well-maintained, some infrastructure—like hostel facilities and mess food—could use improvements. During peak academic times, internet speed in hostels can be frustratingly slow, making it tough for students to work efficiently.
- High Academic Pressure & Limited Industry Exposure While the academics are rigorous, the pressure can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially during exams and project deadlines. The focus on theory is strong, but more hands-on, industry-driven exposure could help students bridge the gap between academics and real-world applications. While placements are great, expanding internship opportunities and collaborations with startups could make the experience even better.
Remarks :
I preferred the college reputation to be the first factor and also it's proximity to Hyderabad for the recruitment. Also, it has very good placement statistics over the few years and that too increasing. The admission was directly and solely based on JEE mains score without any interview or group discussion. Only criteria was the JEE Mains percentile.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is better when compared to the private colleges but still it's not upto the industry mark. Still you can see multiple courses being taught which are irrelevant in accordance to today's industry requirement. So that needs to be updated and go for better. Faculties are decent enough qualified for their respective course and some are really excellent in their fields. Academic examination are regular and you would feel exam pressure throughout the semester
Internships Opportunities :
Currently I am in second year. So, as per the Placement cell there is no official internship for second year. But there is lot of internship opportunities in the third year of college. Every company that is visiting for placement also offers internships. Projects for internship majorly focus on the development and the Data structure as a major factor.
Placement Experience :
Placement data is very good atleast for the Computer Science Branch with the highest being 88 Lakhs per annum and average being 27.89 Lakhs per annum. Anyone having CGPA above 6.5 is eligible for placement as per college but persons with 4 CGPA can also get jobs if they are skilled enough. Previous year around 500 companies visited and 1200 offers were made to the students in various branches. In Computer Science Branch placement percentage was 92 percentage. I wish to pursue for MBA from top B scool after the B.Tech degree
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee varies from year to year. For the first year being the most and thereafter same for second to fourth year. The first year fee would be around 1.5 lakhs including tuition fees of 62500 other institution fee of 42500 and mess and hostel fee of around 50000. The fee remains stagnated for the complete course and it barely increases.
Campus Life :
Campus is decent large enough being 248 acres. There are two annual fests one being Technical fest named Technozion usually held in the month of December and other being cultural as Spring Spree usually held in the end of February. Library is well equipped with books and journals. You would not find need for books to buy. Classrooms are good and well equipped with Smart boards, projectors and speakers. Sports is also well praised and there are multiple grounds for the respective sport. There are more than 30 clubs run and operated by the students and they are recognised and funded by the college. So, overall there is good exposure to each jonra.
Hostel Facilities :
Food quality at mess is pretty decent but not upto the mark and is on the survival level only. Menu is diverse but the taste remains awful. Mess is on private vendors so nothing much involvement of the college authorities. Hostel is affordable with the annual fee of 26000 for double seater rooms. Hostel rooms are good in number and available for each students. There is smile portal of college through which one can apply for hostels. Yeah there are many localities nearby where one can rent PG or room in case they are not satisfied with the hostel or mess.

A few recruiters visit the college for hiring, mainly for entry-level roles in software, IT support, and core engineering domains. However, the number of offers is limited, and only around 40–50% of students secure campus placements. The average salary package offered ranges from ?3–4 LPA, while the highest package varies depending on the company and the student's performance. The college also encourages students to apply for paid internships, which help them gain practical industry experience and improve their technical skills

I am still in my second year, so I havent sat for placements yet. But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities

From the early semesters we are encouraged to build projects, improve our coding skills, and create a strong resume. That gives us enough time to prepare instead of rushing later. The college also shares internship opportunities and guides students through the application process. There are resume reviews, mock interviews, and career sessions that help us understand what companies expect. I feel the support is there throughout the journey, the more effort you put in, the more you can benefit from these opportunities.

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

Since I am still a student I haven't gone through the final placement season yet. But from what I have seen the college starts preparing us quite early. We have regular coding sessions, aptitude training, mock interviews and resume building workshops. The placement team also shared internship opportunities whenever they are available. I feel the college is more focused on making students job ready than waiting until the final year. If you stay consistent with your coding, projects and overall skills, you will be in a much better position when placement season starts. Overall I think the college provides good support, but students also need to put in their own effort.

We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.

We get to practice what we learn through coding, assignments, and small projects, which makes the subject easier to understand. The syllabus also covers topics that are useful for todays tech industry. The faculty is friendly and easy to talk to. They explain concepts in a simple way, clear doubts without any hesitation, and we are already ready to help if someone is struggling.
