I also got other colleges which were near my house /hometown however none of them satisfied all 3 criterias mentioned above and hence this college was an obvious choice for me The college was alloted to me through the mht-cet exam which is an undergraduate exam for admission in technical courses in maharashtra, however the admission in the college can also be taken on the basis of JEE Mains score.
I chose this course out of sheer curiosity and intrest in the field of Artificial Intelligence . The teaching faculties are mostly visiting faculties but have good educational qualifications in their respective fields. The faculties are polite and co-operative when it comes to general doubt solving or any other issues faced by the student. The teaching method however can still be improvised by focusing more on the practical usage of the subject knowledge than just theoretically understanding the concepts. The term/semester exams are held every semester end and the difficulty is easy to moderate and one can easily pass the exam even if he/she does not study regulary from the start of the course .
The internship completed by me was not an internship provided by the college, we found a site which offers online internships for the students and provide internship certificates which students can showcase at the end of their semester. However it cannot be considered an internship in the true sense , to actually complete an internship you have to yourself search for one and take permission from the college so as to complete the internship in the stipulated time.
The college is newly built and hence so far the first batch is yet to pass out , however based on senior reviews the college currently does not offer placements and most of the people are trying off-campus or aiming for higher studies in a college which does offer placements . My plan is also a bit similar to try to pursue higher education but if I am able to secure a good enough job after graduating either through any in campus placement companies or by trying off-campus then i would drop the idea of higher studies or pursue it after some time. Even if the college does get companies to offer placements for students it will have certain conditions for the students to be able to sit in the interviews such as maintaing a good cgpa and possessing good technical knowledge.
The total fees of a single year for a general candidate is around 25000 which includes all the lab fees, tution fees and any other fees related to the college . The college however also provides scholorships to students from different castes . for students who are from EWS the fees per year can be as less as 7500 and for people from other backward castes like SC,ST and VJNT can complete their entire engineering in less than 10000 rs. The college constantly keeps updating students about various scholorship programs from the state government and guides the student to avail it.
In terms of extra curricular activities the college has not yet been fully developed or as i say it , its still in its infancy. Due to the overall newness of the college and students coming from almost all parts of maharashtra , the extra curricular domain of the college has not yet been standardized . However recently there have been constant efforts put forth by the students themselves to conduct good amount of extra curricular activities in the college it includes annual functions, annual outdoor/indoor sports events and other various competitions. The college and the students of the gymkhana commitee are trying to improve the extra curricular part of the college by involving as many students from the college as possible. Also formation of many different clubs within the campus have been proposed and is likely to be created in the near future.
The college currently does not provide its incampus hostel facility and hence most of the students live in the nearby PGs which offer cheap accomodations near the college location. However there is a hostel which belongs to the government polytechnic college which is just beside our college and some of the students from our college are allowed to stay their on the basis of their academic performances in the past.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
