I chose because I heard it gives good exposure and as a social sciences student I think it is important to not just study the society but be part of it and hence I chose this collage. The admission process involves a written and an interview phase. The quality of the written test and the interview panel is great. They are highly qualified for choosing the students for the course. As a social science student I brushed through my 12 standard syllabus and also well aware with the ongoing issues in the country. As I have chosen history, political science and economics I need to be sure of the basic theoretical aspects. So, planning these, i made sure iam well prepared.
The course curriculum is great but it can still improve on the practical aspects. As social science students though we cannot practice in a lab, the society essentially becomes our lab and practical knowledge is extremely necessary. Including internships, service and community learning programmes should be made mandatory for students. The faculty are highly qualified because all of them are chosen only based on their qualification and their academic track record. The exams are timely and there is also continuous internal assessment that would assess the students performance for time to time.
None. There are no compulsory internships for my course. Students have to take efforts to approach internships though the department does have a research lab where students can work on research. I personally worked in a defence think tank and published a paper. It is USI think tank. The department provided this opportunity but the curriculum has no compulsory internships.
Need to secure average of 40 percent to be art of the placement process. The placement opportunities are low but there are companies like delta x, zomato approaching the students. There are alot a Other opportunities though for social science students. There are atleast 6 MP'S just from the University.
The tuition fee for non- residents is 1,20,000 and for residents of the state, there might be slight reduction. The semester fee includes all the fee like admission fee, registration fee, etc. for merit scholarships they provide very little since it is a private university but there is scholarships available for those students maintaining a good score.
The social life is the best. There is something or the other happening in the university everyday. There are literature fests, food fests, students organisations for every department which makes the campus more colourful. There are ngos, community programmes, academic related centres on campus.
I haven't opted for hostel. But no food service is provided. Students staying on campus hostel have to take care of the expenses for food but there it is very secure place to stay especially for girls.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
