The factors were I wanted to focus on my competitive exam furtherly and also wanted to do college so for that reason I opted distance learning from school of open learning, delhi university. There were no written test, interview or cut off. Admission done on average 55% marks or with reservation more less , so it's easy to get admission by filling form and pay the yearly fees .
My opinion on: 1) course: my course was bachelor of commerce which was quite normal in commerce background and after taking it I got to know about subjects , study curriculum and other ways to study which was totally different method of study from schools . 2) academic and facilities: academics were not available due to distance learning and facilities were only available on Sunday and in one day we can't study properly.
No I don't opted for any internship because the internship came were out of my goal and some were that bad and hard for me to go through which will distract me from my career path and goal to achieve it.
There are especially no placement and job opportunities in du sol via distance learning. in this we only have to study come and go and give exam rule of prupose. Something at the end of semester there are some internship opportunities which are se bad se nobody wants to do it .
The detailed fee structure in distance is not high as follows: Ist year (2 semesters):10000 2nd year ( 2 semesters): 10000 3rd year( 2 semesters):10000 No other extra expenses to give as no scholarship also available.
In this campus, especially in distance learning there no fixed campus because every semester and every exam your campus changes so there are also no clubs or infrastructure to attend any fea also and no availablity of library and other facilities. Hence there is social life connected through social groups for college updates.
No as it was distance learning, I had no reason to opt for hostel or mess information. But if somebody want to take hostel he or she must have to choose regular and best college which is far as well to study and have a seperate and best way to study without any distraction
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
