Remarks :

I choose this college mainly because of its affordable fees and the flexibility it offers for open learning. since I applied through du sol , there was no entrance exam, group discussion or interview process.admission was based purely on merit and the cutoff was reasonable for my course. Overall it's a decent option if you want a degree without attending regular classes.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because it aligns with my carrer goals and provides flexibility for self paced learning. The curriculum is well structured, covering all the important topics but since it's a open learning program there's limited interaction with faculty.the study material provided are helpful but sometime they feel outdated.

Internships Opportunities :

DU SOL doesn't provide internship opportunities,so I had to find one on my own. Interned at Paytm insider. Where I was involved in operational work for events .my tasks included coordinating event logistics, managing registration and ensuring smooth execution.the experience helped me gain practical knowledge in event management and operations.

Placement Experience :

Du sol doesn't provide campus placement, so I had to search for a job on my own .there were no recruiters or placements drives organized by the University.most students either apply for jobs independently or pursue further studies.after completing my degree,I secured a job at Paytm through my own efforts.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total tution fees for my course at du sol is rs 30000 which covers tuition , registration and other compulsory charges .since it's a distance learning program, there are no lab or development fees, making it's a cost effective option compared to regular colleges. For category based concession ,sc/st usually have lower fees due to government subsidies, for the general category, the fee remain standard. The fee structure has been quite stable over the year with no major hikes

Campus Life :

Since it's an open learning program there isn't a traditional campus life like regular colleges.there are no daily classes.so social life is mostly limited to online student groups or occasional meetups.du organized annual fees and events where Sol students can participate .

Hostel Facilities :

There is no dedicated hostel for students.most students who come from outside delhi either stay in PGS or rents in areas like Mukherjee nagar, satya niketan or kamla nagar.the places are popular among students because of their proximity to du campuses and good facilities. The affordability of pgs varies, but on average it costs around rs8000-rs15000 per month.depending on the location and amenities

Gargi Colleg , Delhi university

Placement Experience :

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Placement Experience :

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
