Remarks :
I appeared for jee mains and could not secure a good rank so I appeared for cee and i got an average rank 1786. And through CEE counselling secured this college in the civil department in the 3rd round of counselling. CEE is a state engineering entrance that can get you a seat in any of the state engineering colleges of assam and some universities based on the rank you get in the exam. If get rank between 1-1000 you will be able to secure a better college than Bineswar Brahma Engineering College
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because I felt there are more jobs in civil engineering field as compared to the rest of the fields of engineering. The faculties of this college are really highly qualified, has a good skill in teaching and are really friendly. In each semester there are two terms on is mid term another is end term exam, as compared to end term mid term is pretty easy
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't opted for any internship yet because I am still in 1st year itself and my first has not been completed yet. I will apply for internship after my end semester exam is finished. I haven't thought about where to apply
Placement Experience :
Placement are really less in our college because our located in very remote area so companies usually find it difficult to come here. Most companies that comes hires from chemical engineering and mechanical engineering department. The highest package that must have been offered was 35,000 per month. Some of the companies that recruit are mahindra, iocl, hpcl etc. probably 25 % students got on campus placement from our college. My plan after completion of my degree is either to appear for gate and secure a seat in iit for mtech or may be apply for mtech studies in foreign or maybe try to find a job in Assam or in abroad
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees is 19990 rupees. The fees can broken up like this 10000 is for tution fees , 2500 rupees for the course and program registration, 2500 for technisia a fest in college and the rest is for the extra activities that happens in college. The fees to be paid is same for every one including my batchmates, it doesn't depend on their caste. There are various govt and private scholarships available for students that they can apply to however there is no college fee waiver available from the side of the college.
Campus Life :
Campus Life is basically average like it's neither so bad nor do good it's not like so much hyped up like nits and iits, most of it is just about studies. The fest here is called technisia that most probably is held in the March this year it will start from 25th of march. There are plenty of Books and journals available in the college library. The classrooms are average it's not so bad not so good but they are comfortable enough. The sports and extracurricular activities are given an importance too. I don't know much about the clubs that are ran by students probably there aren't any .
Hostel Facilities :
Well I am a girl and the college girls hostel hasn't been completed yet and not any private hostels or pg are available for girls in near by area. So I am staying in a pg which is 6.7 km away from college. The pg i am staying in has really good facilities and it's food is good i really like it feels like homecooked meal here. The pg i am staying is present in bow bajar.

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
