- The number of lab equipment per person are not enough.
- Campus life is not much of enjoying . As we lack even a proper auditorium.
Remarks :
Since the cutoff was very high and in my state I did not get any reservation I had to choose this college . Though the college is kind of good but considering the distance between my house and here is more than 2700km which comes of a demerit to me.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty is experienced and is helpful . The course is really hard, requiring great hardwork for understanding of the concept . The exam are at a regular intervals of 3 months. For every session we have 3 internals and 1 final .
Internships Opportunities :
No , not yet. As of now I am just a first year student . I would have to pass the subsequent classes to be eligible foe the internship and placement afterwards. The internship will be offered from tezpur medical college and hospital itself.
Placement Experience :
Well after passing the final year exam we are offered internship in our college hospital. But to be eligible one had to pass the final academic exam. As for the pay , it is 37000 per month for the 11 month of internship. Almost 99.9% students qualify for the internship.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees is 24900. Admission fees is 5000. Registration fees is 15000. Development fees is 2000. Lab fees is 2500. The mess fees is 3000 per month. Fees of my other batchmate is 24900. Their registration fees is 5000. Their lab fees is 1000
Campus Life :
Well there had been college week , diwali celebration and Saraswati Pooja since my arrival on October 2024 . The festives were kind of entertainment helping me to escape the study load even just for 2-3 days . The library as for now is inaccessible to he first year as our seniors are having their finals.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is just moderate . The bathroom are not good. The mess food is not as the charges . A very few options for the vegetarians. As for the hostel room in a space of two three people are living and even worse with seniors .

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
