Actually i had no plans getting into this college, literally no plans i had scored 92percentile in the mains , so i had thoughts of getting into some state gftis or other better private colleges, but the climax came when i was not able to get 75 percent in the 12th boards. So, thats how my family and I came to the decsion that KIIT will be one of the best decisons
The course curriculum tbh is too easy peasy and its quite easyyyy to get a 8.5 cgpa even if you start studying before a week of the exams. i had chosen the course of btech in cse beacuse the it sector is booming and good paying jobs are present in thi sector. faulty are yes good types qualified but yes i would like to mention that they are not the best as most of them are of from the local state odisha. teaching method of many of them are good whereas many of them are just dumb. All exams are timely as mentioned before. THEY arent so difficult if studied a week before.
i am in first eyar currently so havent been into intenrships right now but am planning to do so.yes by the sond i will be lookinf for some paid internships which for sure are note coming in the campus.
placement and job oppurntunities are not the best as the market during the admisiion drive that average college placements are of 8-9 lakhs per annum. that a total myth tbh. majorly mass recruiters enter the college such as tcs, infosys, wipro handing 3-5 lakshs to most of the students and very few students get above 10 lakhs per annum salary. I hve thought to get a job around 8 lakhs per annum then try for upsc or mba
Lets start with registration money that is 75k but in that you get a flagship level laptop, just as this year we got hp elitebook 845. Then comes the tuiton fees for our's enrollement year i.e 2024 batch is around 4 lakhs summing up to 16 lakhs. Then comes the major chunk which is hostel and mess fees combined brings to around 1 lacks 20k per year. Then all other admission charges, development fees, lab fees etc. nakes up to the total of around 5.4 lakhs per annum and that makes around 22-23 lakhs four your whole course of 4years of Btech computer science is kiit, bhubaneshwar. one thing i would like to mention is hostel fees ranges as they provide 3 seater non ac rooms then 3 seater ac rooms without premium and with premium and same for 2 seater rooms. For people who couldn't get through the KIITEE exam, Yes uni provides many schloraship but the most prominent one is through getting by making under 1k rank under KIITEE through which you get 10k scholarship every month.
the best part of the uni is social life, as people are quite chilll. many of them have just come to just enjoy and vibe up and mingle. there are pretty clubs around . Clubs are also too good you should have a visit there. We have our annual fest KIITFEST in the month of february that to in the vakentines week, so u can guess what adrenaline rush would have been there in everyone.
the food quality is not so good as in the first year hostels. they are not the worth as much we are paying for it. yes we do get chicken biryani and chilly chicken and chicken masla eggs and fish curries 4-5 times in a week both in lunch and dinner buthe quality and taste is not upto the mark. BReakfast are good include bread butter boiled eggs bread rolls and many more things. in second year we have palnned to get a flat in aryapalli or somewhere around kiit chowk renting around 8k-10k montly.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement
There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.
for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.
It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.
Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.
Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.
Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges
Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
