My college is the most popular at one of the best private colleges in Odisha as per NIRF rankings. My parents and me opted for this college inorder to get facilities and a way to build my future. We have to face an entrance exam called KIITEE for the admission process. We have to prepare very well to face this entrance exam.
KIIT University has a well-planned course that includes both theory and practical learning. I studied Computer Science and Engineering here because it has an updated syllabus, good placements, and training in new technologies like AI, ML, and Cybersecurity. The teachers are highly qualified, many from IITs, NITs, and IIITs. They teach through lectures, coding sessions, and project work, which makes learning easier. Exams are held on time as per the academic calendar. Mid-semester exams are held about 1.5 months before final exams. The exam level is from moderate to tough and mainly checks your understanding and problem-solving skills.
I have opted for off campus internship through KODACY in multiple streams like Robotics and Rocket Propulsion. As the internship is going on now the project will only be done after completion of the full coarse. There are many opportunities for internship in our college also. The internship cell manages all the things.
Our college comes with 100% placement policy, that means it becomes the priority of the college to place all its students in top companies. TATA TCS is the highest recruiter for our college. The highest package here is 65 lakhs and average package is 3-4 lakhs. I have plans for doing higher studies after getting my B-Tech degree.
The fees is 392000 per year for Computer Science related streams but our college take it per semester by dividing the amount equally. The overall fees for the completion of coarse after 4 year is 1568000 for the tuition fees. While for other streams it is approximately 1400000. It is excluding the hostel fees and other registration fees. Hostel fees depends on the hostel or the hostel facilities we opt for and considering the most basic hostel facility, the overall price after 4 years will be 2200000 approx.. Scholarship is only available for students who score 10 cgpa and have above 75% attendance throughout the semester.
Campus life is awesome, every year KIIT FEST is organized in the month of february where many renowned artist from bollywood and other fields come to perform. The concert feels full of entertainment and mind blowing. During the fest, many other activities are organized like: Digital Hackathons, Treasure Hunt, Story Telling, etc. in order to keep the students engaged. Talking about the library, our college has a 5 storey hi-tech library called "The Central Library" where over thousands of books are available to study and explore about. There are over 8 stadiums in our college, 1 multi-sports indoor stadium, 1 Cricket stadium, 1 hockey stadium, 1 rugby stadium, 1 football ground, 1 athletics ground, etc.. Students can play whatever sports they opt to. Every hostel has its own badminton and volleyball court. A lot of clubs and social groups are in here which are run by students, like: Geek-for-Geeks, Juggernaut Racing, etc.
The Hostel allotment happens after we opt for the type of hostel we want. Here in KIIT we have multiple types of hostel like- 3 bedded Non-AC, 2 bedded Non-AC, 3 bedded Ac, 2 bedded AC, 3 bedded AC premium, 2 bedded AC premium, etc. The hostel fees vary as per the hostel we choose. The hostel charge for 3 bedded Non-AC is 28000 and mess fees is 25000 which becomes 53000 overall. The quality of food is good and menu changes on a regular basis. All the hostels are available in between the campus itself.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement
There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.
for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.
It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.
Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.
Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.
Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges
Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
