- Faculty and Campus life The overall vibe here is very great.
- The overall campus life in faculty is very good. Faculty is very much experienced and their teachers. Very well. The practical demonstration on patients are really key aspect in the modern medicine to learn the core concept of Medicine. This thing is quite done here as it is the number one college of the state, so many patient came here for checkup, thus making the overall exposure to the patient very great and making the learning Interesting.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure and they take frequent exams
- The overall infrastructure is not good as compare to other colleges. It lacks basic facilities like availability of ground and also they keep on taking frequent exams every now and then we have exams and ward leaves and it can be stressful quite a lot of time
Remarks :
Got admission through neet ug It is situated in capital city of hp I.E shimla and it is tourist destination known for its snow covered mountains The weather here is very nice It is also the top college of state with best exposure to patients Admission process is simple which includes a medical and submission and verifications of documents.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Chose this course because i like medicine Faculty are highly educated anf qualified with over 20+ years of experience.The teaching method is mostly by presentations but some teachers also prefer chalk and talk Exams every 4-5 monthly.Difficulty level was moderate
Internships Opportunities :
One year mandatory internship at IGMC SHIMLA. The mainly the task in the internship is to work in a healthcare team under the guidance of senior faculty and to learn how the modern system of (Medicine) works also to do minor surgical procedure.
Placement Experience :
Internship one year with stipend of 20000 per month. Since this is a medical college, there are no recruiters that come to place our students. This is just a mandatory internship which happens in the Indira Gandhi medical College and its associated hospitals like Kamla Nehru hospitals, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, CHC Mashobra and urban health training Centre Baluganj.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
1st Year Fees- 60000 includes 5000 refundable security 2nd year inonwards -50000 The scholarships are only available for those students who belong to lower economics class, having income less than the desired national parameter and also to those people. Those students who score university first second and third position in annual exams
Campus Life :
Stimulus is our annual fest usually in month of August. Books and journals available in library Classrooms are modern with latest projectors and central heating facility. Our college does not have a playground and lacks sports facilities. We do have a indoor badminton court. Extracurricular activities occur throughout year like doctor’s day and foundation day and freshers.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel Single room for boys from 1st year And sharing room for girls from first year to 3rd year and single room from final year. Food is very good in boys hostel but not so good in girls hostel. The locality in which boy host is Sanjauli, which is a very good area and girls hostel is located in Lakarr Bazar, which is very near to the Mall Road.

Placements are decent. Eligibility is typically at CGPA 6.0 or higher. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys ,Oracle, Wellsfargo etc.Highest package this year reached around 3 crores per annum as it was a foreign offer.

I choose ba as I needed a bachelors degree to pursue llb . All the faculty members are highly qualified and well educated and every teacher has their own teaching method. The exams are conducted annually for BA which is not very difficult

placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs
