- The campus life is really fun. We have a lot of clubs and cells in the college that keep hosting events for us. Those events are the only things we look forward to during the academic year. Infrastructure is really poor, we have no recreational/sports facilities on our campus but we are free to use any of the other campus' sports facilities, which is entirely free of cost. The faculty are extremely well versed and knowledgeable. Though many may argue that their teaching methods are inefficient, I personally find my professors very helpful and good at their job.
- SSE's campus revolves around only one main building which is situated on the main road. Our college is located in Shivajinagar, which is the heart of Pune city, so there is always something fun stirring up around here. As we are right in the heart of the city, we have easy access to a lot of places in and around Pune unlike the Lavale campus folks. The canteen food is mid at best (schezwan noodles SLAP tho) but is extremely affordable for college kids, so we don't complain about that.
Dislikes
- Very poor infrastructure, only a few AC classrooms in the college. Reimbursements are usually either very delayed or never paid back. Terrible placements, one of the only factors that makes me regret choosing this college even today!
Remarks :
I chose this college as it is one of the top private colleges that offer Bsc Economics (Hons. with research) program. The college is situated in Pune city, which is the upcoming banking and financial hub of the country, with its many IT parks and Banking Services. I appeared for the SET exam (Symbiosis Entrance Test), which was a purely computerised exam, covering quants, general knowledge, logical reasoning and english proficiency. Then, based on my percentile, I landed a PI (personal interview) session where i had a one-on-one interview with the faculties of this college. We are required to have a minimum of 60% in our class 12 boards in order to proceed with the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Very beautifully designed course structure (one of the main reasons why i opted for sse). The curriculum covers almost everything there is that you need to know for a undergrad course in Economics. The subjects are quite rigorous, but that's what makes it very special to us. The curriculum is very mathematics based and mostly revolves around economic theory, statistics, maths and data analysis.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not opted for any internship yet. I will be doing a corporate internship very soon, which is a mandate in this course. At the end of our first year, we are expected to intern at an NGO and carry out all the necessary activities for a total of 120 hours.
Placement Experience :
The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As an Indian citizen, I pay 2,74,000 Rs per year for the course along with another 1,18,000 Rs for the hostel. The NRIs pay the most fees, which is almost double of what we pay. Scholarships are provided to those students who secure a CGPA above 8.75 in the semester exams.
Campus Life :
Our cultural fest, "Niverve" usually takes place in the even semester (in the months of jan-feb-march, depending on when the semester is ending). It is a vibrant and very exciting time for most of us at SSE. The sports fest also takes place during the even sem, right after Niverve cultural fest. Due to lack of sports facilities at our campus, we conduct our sports fest either in the Lavale campus or Viman Nagar campus, based on the availability. The library is one of the most comforting places on campus, where most of us go to read, do our work, or even just relax. You will find a variety of books, ranging from microeconomics to macroeconomics (basically a LOT of reference and coursebooks). The classrooms are quite spacious and can easily accommodate upto 75-80 students. One downside of the classrooms are that not all of them are air conditioned. We have a projector/ smartboard in all classrooms, accompanied by a whiteboard for the professors to write on.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is one of the aspects I really love about this college experience. The rooms are incredibly spacious (girls hostel), and we get a lot of storage space as well. We have housekeeping who clean and take care of our rooms everyday. We have very helpful and kind staff in the hostel, warden maam is the sweetest! The mess food is alright, they do well but they have their bad days too. They provide 4 meals everyday except on Sundays, when they close the mess after lunch for cleaning and pest control. The food can be a bother to most people, however, its undoubtedly the best hostel food that you'll get in this area.

An industry focused learning experience
Placement Experience :
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
Reality of niat

no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed

Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.

Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
Affordable college for the middle class students.

There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.

engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.

there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.

The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
