Likes
- The college is pretty good. The infrastructure, Library and Campus Life is really good. The location of the College is good as it is near Chandigarh. The college is very focused on placements which is a good thing.
- The one thing about college is its affordability as the fees is pretty low as compared to CU but the placements of CU and CGC Landran takes place together and there is not much difference.
Dislikes
- The thing I dislike is the Hostel facilities. The food is very low quality. The breakfast is pretty good but the dinner is very bad so you have to order from outside and waste your money.
- Another thing that I dislike about this college is the Attendance system and college timings. the 75% attendance is mandatory and college is really strict about this. Due to this, the students get very less time for the self studies .
Remarks :
The admission process for this college was pretty simple as you just have to submit the registration fees and then after completing all the paperwork, you are good to go. There is only one criteria which is the student should have got more than 75% in theor 12th standard. I chose this college because of its affordability and the rate of placements. This college is very famous for its placements as approx 70-80% students gets placed every year. The only drawback is that the students have to work hard for their placements themselves as the college focuses more on the theoratical subjects.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I was interested in learning new technologies and coding languages. Most of the faculty is phd holder. The teaching is mainly focused on theory and not practicals. There are two mid term exams in a semester and one end terms which are carried out by PTU. The difficulty level is moderate. The teachers have to focus more on practical knowledge and placements instead of curriculum.
Internships Opportunities :
The companies visit in the college for providing Internship opportunities but very few students are selected. Companies like Uber, JP morgan, Adobe etc. The roles include Software Developer, Enginee etc. The stipend is about 50000 per month for a total span of 2-6 months.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for the placement is that you should have taken TPP. This college is famous for its placements in the North India. There are many companies that visit the campus every year such as Palo Alto, FICO, Microsoft, Phillips etc. The average package is 4.5lpa. The highest package was 44lpa given by Amazon. About 60-70% students are placed every year but after covide, it has been reduced to 40%. My plans in this college is to get a decent placement as a Software Engineer.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees Structure for the 2022-2026 batch was 95000 per annum but in 2025, it is 174000 per annum which is quite less as compared to other colleges in north India. There is no scholarship on the basis of JEE or any entrance exam but if a student enters through PTU Councelling, then they get some scholarship on their tuition fees. The fees is continously increasing every year along with the number of specialisations of the course. The registration fees was 11000 that time (one time) and it was included in the tuition fees. The college also demands an amount of 8000 for the TPP ( Training and Placement Program ) in which students can enroll if they want placements from the college and the inhouse training also takes place which is compulsory for all the students in every even semester. The college demands for approx 2500 for that training.
Campus Life :
There is a fest called Parivartan which is held every year in the month of October or November. In this fest, one or two artists are called for live performance. Since, the college is situated in Punjab, Punjabi artists are given priority but it is not good for students from other states as they do not understand the language. All the books are available in the library and the library is good. The classrooms are fine and there are smart classes as well. There are many extracurricular activities such as Dance, Sports like Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball etc. and college is very supportive in this regard. There are 9-10 clubs which comes under the DSW run by the students. They are very active and conducts events regularly.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality in the mess is not really good. The food variety is amazing but the taste is not upto the mark. The infrastructure of the hostel is good as there are 4types of rooms : 2 seater, 3 seater , 4 seater and 4 seater AC. The registration process for the hostel is simple as you just have to fill a form with an amount of 5000 which will be included in the hostel fees. The fees for now is 115000 per annum. If you want to something extra with college like coaching, internship, then you should prefer some PG or Flat as the timing issues are not good in hostel.

To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.

Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
