- Our university has lifts in it which are very useful for handicapped students.
- Faculties are well qualified and hear our problems when we ask anything from them .
Dislikes
- Our university doesn't have playground as well as hostels .
- Our university has a canteen but it is not opened till date .
Remarks :
The good aspect of this university is that it is a state university of Himachal Pradesh. And the bad aspect is that it is a new university and our super seniors are in 3rd year . So there is no placement guarantee till date. There are two ways of entering the university, first by Jee-mains exam and another by HPCET exam . I took a full year coaching for Jee-mains exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose the course btech in computer science because I like coding from the school time , I was interested in coding. The teachers are well qualified as they have phd or masters degree . They teach us very well and provide the full notes of the subject but sometimes the aren't able to complete the syllabus, we ourselves have to do it. Mid semester exams are held timely as scheduled in the academic calendar.
Internships Opportunities :
I am new student in this college. I haven't opted for any internships till date. But I will do the internship as our teachers are helping for getting the internships for us in the upcoming vacations in june-july.
Placement Experience :
There is no campus placement till date because our super seniors are in 3rd year . We will know about the placement in next year . My plans for the placement are completing as much as internships I can and gaining the skills required in the industry.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The semester wise tution I pay is nearly rs 60000 . It keeps increasing and decreasing per semester as in first semester it was rs 63000 and in second semester it is rs 58000 ( including caution fees, lab fees , library fees, wifi fees etc ). The total fees of full course is around rs 500000 . The fees is same for all the categories. The scholarships are available by aicte.
Campus Life :
Various festivals are celebrated in our university. Fest that are conducted are hptu youth fest which was conducted in the month of march this year 2025. The library is filled with all the books needed for all the courses and other journals also there . There is a hptu sports meet every year but not in our university campus but other college campus because our university doesn't have a playground till date .
Hostel Facilities :
I haven't opted for pg . And there is no official hostel of our university. It is still building and would take many time to be built . The students who have opted for pg's say that the food and rooms are good enough.

Placements are decent. Eligibility is typically at CGPA 6.0 or higher. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys ,Oracle, Wellsfargo etc.Highest package this year reached around 3 crores per annum as it was a foreign offer.

placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs

The placement opportunities are given by institute. There is a placement committee. A few visited recruiters are ICICI,HDFC, DE Shaw, Deloitte, EY, etc. the average package of IIM sirmaur ranges around 14-15 LPA. All students get placed and is supported by institute.
