- The clock tower is the super cool thing in the college. Where every night hostellers used spend their time there spending quality time with their friends.
- The faculties are very well versed and highly knowledgable.
Dislikes
- Since the college is located little outskirts and almost situated like in a forest so there is threat of frogs, scorpions, snakes.
- The Mess food is not upto the mark in taste wise also you sometimes find some weird insects in it as well.
Remarks :
Bad thing is there is threat of snakes and insects and good is infrastructure and facultiws. For government quota where i come from they calculate cutoff. Cut off = (physics mark + chemistry mark)/2 + maths mark. So for 200 you should be atleast 190+ to join ssn if general. I was obc and i my cutoff wad 189 so i got mechanical at ssn. For management quota you have to write enterance exam mostly aptitude test and clear interview to join.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was fond on physics and automobiles and apart from that i hate computers so i decided to chose mechanical engineering. Most of the faculties around 95% are phd holders and almost all would have publised more than 5 papers or journals. They have immense knowledge and their teaching is world class quality. We have 3 internal exams in span of 4 months. Then in next 1 month you would have model lab, end semester practical and theory exams. Easy to moderate is the difficulty.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, our college does not focus much on internship placements. The placement cell is more focussed in job placements. For comparison the placement cell will push 90% of students to get job placement and only 10% will be selected for internship. So i did internship offcampus via relatives. I was doing my summer internship at BHEL, Ranipet where i worked in modelling and simulation of centrifugal impellers. For me no stipend.
Placement Experience :
The SSN College of Engineering has a specialised Career Development Centre which focuses on the personal development of students. It focuses on nourishing the skills of individuals through training and development for better results in the on-campus placement drives. Most companies have an eligibility criteria of no standing arrears and minimum 7.5 CGPA The major companies that visit the campus for hiring purposes include: Bosch, Titan Company Limited, Adani Group, Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Google, HSBC, Amazon, Microsoft, Hyundai Motor Company, TVS Motor Company, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited, and others. Packages vary from 3.5 LPA to 25 LPA. Highes was 84 LPA AND Average was 3.5 LPA. 90% of the students will get placed and I was Placed at Isuzu Motors for 5.5 LPA
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In a year it will come around 2.5L for government quota students and 3.5L for management quota students. This fees includes all tution, caution, hostel, admission, developemental etc. I Have Completed my graduation on 2025. All my four years i spend on shared hostel. My hostel fees was 75000rs per year. There are 9 different kind of hostel blocks like single room, attach bathroom, ac needed, balcony needed like that combination 9 blocks are there. Merit Scholarships: Meritorious Students Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: Meritorious Students belonging to the Economically Weaker Section. Waiver of Tuition Fee: Highest scorer in 12th Walk-in-Walk-out Scholarships: Top 10 rank holders of 12th passed from any State / Central Board. Scholarship for Potential UG Rural Students: 25 toppers from Rural Government Schools. Sports Scholarships: Participation in National and International competitions.
Campus Life :
In SSN you will have amazing college fest. There are two main fests. The technical fest which takes in even semested in the month of september named Invente. Where all the department shows their technical prowess various eventz will be conducted for 2 days. Other college students are also welcomed to partocipate. The non technical fest takes place in odd semested in the month of march named Instincts which will be takes place for 3 days. Where various different kinds of event takes places, big celebrities do come, you will have dj night, great food stalls. There numerous club like music, tamil, dance, humour, quiz, tech, math, entrepreneaurship and more and all of them are student run. Our college gives equal importance to sports as well you have tennis, badminton, football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, squash and there are even stadiums and courts. We have 2 gyms. There is a big central library which hosts books of different genres.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality in taste is average. You can opt for veg or non veg and can be changed on monthly based on your preferences. Sometimes the hygiene is poor you even find insects in it. The mess fees i paid was 3300 rs per month

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
