The National Institute of Engineering North Campus, Mysore - Review
Remarks :
I got this college from Comedk quota and the reviews online were good about this college. The faculty here are very supportive and knowledgeable. Since I gave comedk exam they will only allot the dates in between which you have to report to the college and get admission into it. I preferred this college over others because it has good placements history and good faculty as well as the environment is nice. The students also are competitive here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am a CSE student and i opted this course because I love this and it also has promising future for job opportunities. The student faculty ratio is good, there are more than sufficient teachers that even 2 teachers may teach the same subject for a single class. Mostly all the teachers are PhD qualified and other are on the way to their PhD's qualificantion. There are two exams before the sem-end exams. Both are easy to qualify, however the sem-end exams are quite difficult.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As through comedk, every year there is 10% increase in the fees. Nonetheless, college gives opportunities to the students for scholarships. And if you are an average student maintaining an average of 8 CGPA then you'll be having lots of opportunities in placements and you'll be certainly placed in any good company with a nice package.
Campus Life :
The life at campus is very nice and peaceful. The greenery here is quite amazing. every year there is annual fest called technieks as well as there are fests of other branches. You'll get more than sufficient books in library regarding the course. Sports culture here is also good. You'll get inter-college as well as Intra-college competitions as well as there are lots of clubs regarding tech and non-tech clubs. Currently I have opted for hostel, the fees is 1 lakh (+10 k as security deposit only for one time), the mess is quite good and there is only veg food available.
Interview Experience :
As I am through comedk, you just have to give this exam and go for the counselling and you will be allotted the college and you just have to visit college with proper official document and you're good to go. No interviews nothing else.

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
