- Talking about the infrastructure, its not a very big college but it has that aesthetic vibe which keeps the student engaged.
- Faculty is also okay, the teachers know what they are teaching and helps student whenever needed.
Dislikes
- The lack of seriousness in the admin department.
- Unprofessional staff in the administration.
Remarks :
I wanted to pursue eco honors from DU but didn't score enough in my CUET as this year's cut-off was an all-time high. I've heard that this college is good for BMS so I ranked it in my top 10 while making my preference sheet.
Course Curriculum Overview :
BMS was my second choice after eco honors as I don't want to go for bcom. The entrance test which is called CUET was quite easy but the competition to get into DU is way lot than people think. Luck also comes into play and good guidance is also required.
Internships Opportunities :
As of now, I haven't opted for any internships. I'm focusing on scoring high in my early semesters so that my CGPA will be maintained. The placement cell in our college is the most difficult to get in and there you can get many internships.
Placement Experience :
You don't expect a high placement job after completing an undergraduate degree in a commerce-related course so it's better to work more for the Jon experience rather than deny the opportunity you get. Top MBA colleges will rank you up if you have prior job experience and this college can easily get you a decent job if you have a good profile.
Campus Life :
The college life is good, the crowd and everything are also decent. After the election, new water coolers are installed and the canteen is also nice. Fests and all happen after the end of 1st sem exams during February, March, and April mainly. The library also has a vast variety of books of almost every genre and subject.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
