I chose to accept admission to this college because it ranked highest on my merit list. My main reason for selecting it was its location in Lonavala, known for its consistently refreshing weather. Additionally, meeting the 85% cutoff requirement further solidified my decision.
I chose to study information technology because I love computers. It's a good mix of science and technology, which I'm interested in. But the way they teach us isn't very exciting. Most of us don't even go to class; we prefer learning from YouTube or other places. Our college is part of SPPU, and because the teaching isn't great, the exams are tough, especially for engineering students. Luckily, we got help from the Mahadbt scholarship, which is from the Maharashtra government's scholarship website.
I completed my internship at the YBI Foundation and organization with no stipend. I have good knowledge of various technologies, like big data, and I completed a project on wine quality prediction. And also know about AI tools.
Overall placement: Sinhgad is average, but all companies preferred only main campus students, like Sinhgad Vadgaon campus students, rather than our college campus students. Here, we face a lot of challenges during the placement drive. The companies determine the eligibility requirements. Thankfully, Sinhgad has given students access to a platform called pod.ai where all placements, recruiters, and companies visited are listed. If the package and designation are accepted, any eligible student may apply for the interview. The typical package is not very large; it is only three to four LPAs. The greatest package is limited to 7-8 LPA; do not expect anything more. The chances of getting hired by a company are far too low because the students here are unmotivated and poor at studying and programming. Even though I am trying to get a good package from college and get more skilled,
Campus life was better than college life. I am enjoying it. There is a CCC club, and I am part of that club. College has good infrastructure, but college is on the decline, so students feel bored and annoyed. In February, there was a Sinhgad Spring Fest, which was enjoyed by all students. best extracurricular activities that all the students enjoyed and participated in, like NPTEL.The hostel and mess college provide average hostel facilities and the worst mess. area was not good for college because they were outside of Pune
The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown, people are more focused on mental health, thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.
