- I liked the faculty being close and strict enough with the students and the practicals sessions which were taken on the required basis.
Remarks :
The infrastructure and teaching staff at the Sheila Raheja institute of Hotel Management and catering school were the best. the admission process was simple and was done without any hassles. The cutoff for Hospitality is 45% and any stream can take admission into the degree or diploma course. There 3 rounds for the admission process which were a basic GK test and later a Group discussion and after that one to one interview discussing the future or where you see yourself in a few years and likewise
Course Curriculum Overview :
I wanted to get into the food and beverage service sector as interacting with guests and helping them guests with their requirements makes me feel good. the exams were on time always and the practicals also were taken strictly there was no leniency in the exams as well. The fees are on a higher side but they match with the quality of studies and education received. All the faculty were extremely professional and their teaching was always fun.
Internships Opportunities :
I completed my internship at Hyatt Regency, Andheri. I did all the core departments like FNB, FO, Kitchen, Housekeeping, and Laundry. My tasks were doing the buffet setups, Getting the bar setup and table setup, Getting all items from the back, wiping cutlery, and crockeries in FNB. In FO I was at the bell desk wherein I used to do the baggage deliveries and newspaper deliveries to the rooms according to the guest requirements. In the kitchen I had been given tasks like doing the basic cuts of vegetables, getting the store picked up, placing the food on the buffet, replenishing the buffet, and likewise. In housekeeping and laundry, I was given the task of skirting the verandas and vacuuming the carpet in corridors and rooms.I have also cleaned the WC and bed making. in the laundry, I have done folding of the duvet covers, bedsheets, and blankets.
Placement Experience :
We needed to have an average CGPA OF 8 POINTS We had hotels like The Fern, Trident, Oberoi, Hyatt Regency, Grand Hyatt, etc for the interviews at our college as well as at the hotels themselves. Packages as high as 25-30k were offered. We had been given a chance to get a management course for the Oberoi, Trident, and Fern as well. I had planned to move out of the country after my degree so I had not taken much interest in giving interviews.
Campus Life :
Tests were quarterly and there were 2 semesters in a year the books and the reading materials were top notch and if we required anything aside from the reading material available we were given access to computers equipped with the internet as well. we had many different types of events and sports activities as well during the term. we have an alumni group that is active currently.

It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. Internship was also provided by college to give students practical experience and knowledge about current changing environment.

Course Curriculum Overview :
i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
Reality of niat

no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.
