Remarks :
The scholarship scheme of this university attracts more students. Before admission, students have to go through group discussions regarding the course scholarship scheme, and hostel(if any). GOOD ASPECTS -lush green campus -in the foot of Kasauli Hills -scholarship scheme to help students -experienced faculty -helpful towards the students in all aspects BAD ASPECTS -only a few companies visit here for the placements. -lack of proper sports facilities
Course Curriculum Overview :
-almost all the faculty have the experience of years -the teaching method is okay... the faculty will teach you just basics and the remaining one you must do on your own. -there are two mid-term exams consisting of half of the syllabus of each subject and then the end semester exam consists of all the syllabus -the exams are easy... you can even pass the exams if you just study a week before the exams -the fees of the course are less as compared to other colleges -this university provides a lot of scholarship schemes to help students financially, based on the 12th percentile, students of Himachal Pradesh, and many more.
Internships Opportunities :
- various students get internships here (also off campus) and do the work related to their fields as assistant most of the time -students get a chance to do various works related to their fields which will help them in their future jobs.
Placement Experience :
-students must have at least 7 cgpa for the placement. - here the companies visited like Wipro, Accenture and Infosys and a lot of offers made. the package ranges from 3-7 LPA - 30% of students apply for higher studies and out of 70%, approximately 50% of students get placed in companies.
Campus Life :
-the central library consist of almost all types of books(course related , competition preparation , other author books) -the sports facilities are good. Students can play during their free lectures. there are various types of sports like cricket, football, volleyball, table tennis, badminton and many more. even here, a sports event is also held named "KHELOTSAV" in which students can participate in various games. -various seminars are held from time to time to motivate students for their future journey -there are many groups and clubs like NSS etc. -the infrastructure of hostels is far better according to the fees. The messy food is okay... and have a fixed menu on a weekly basis. but sometimes they even introduce new dishes. the hostel has three types of rooms: 1,2 and 3-seater. And you can also have a cooler in the summer (by paying extra fees). Hostels have geyser facilities also. you can register for the hostel during admission time. to get a seat in the hostel is very easy.
