- The thing which I dislike about my college is the boys toilet condition of our college is very bad

Remarks :
The good aspect of nowgong college is the feedback from college faculty is very good and supportive. The department I have chosen is very good and the teachers are very supportive and good at teaching. Regular classes are held and every topic is taught by our teachers very well. Extracurricular activities are held on special occasions in college. The admission process is very easy and students can take admission through by CUET examination or spot admission. The cut-off for admission to Nowgong College is a minimum of 50% or more for the respective subject cut-off is different. After the release of my HS results, I gathered information about Nowgong College from my elders and the pass-out students of Nowgong College and when the date of admission was announced I prepared all my documents for admission. On the day of admission, me and parents came for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen Mathematics as an honors subject. The reason for choosing Mathematics as the subject of my honors was the faculty of mathematics is very responsive and supportive. Every topic is taught by our teachers. Our teachers are all PhD Holder and their teaching methods are very simple just like other teachers. They are very punctual and hard-working. Sessional Exams are held after three months of every semester and final exams are held after five months of semester. On sessional exams, the questions set by our teachers are tough but final examination questions are a little tougher than that. The fees of college are not that costly but the cost of a rental house is expensive and living in Nagaon City is a bit expensive for common people for people like us.
Internships Opportunities :
In 2023 I did my internship for the NSS program at to flood relief camp in Nagaon. We the members of NSS have helped the people by providing essential goods like food items, diapers for infants, drinking water, and many more.
Placement Experience :
For placement in our college, the maximum cgpa required is 9 or 10. The highest average package offered by the company is 4 lakhs per annum. Annually around 60 to 70%of students are getting placement from our college. My plans after the completion of my degree are to prepare for higher studies and for preparing civil services exam.
Campus Life :
When there is the entry of new student in our college ie. newcomers. They are welcome with college freshers day which is held for 2-3 days and they enjoy it very much. It is held in September or October. The college library is available and it is open to every student. We enter the library every day to read books or newspapers and some students to write notes. There are many books available at the library. For every subject, there are different sections in the library. Every year College Week is celebrated in our nowgong college. Every student takes part in it. Sports, reading, writing, speech, singing, and dancing competitions are held during college week. Students of Nowgong College have created their personal WhatsApp group to provide special messages to their fellowmates like any special programs in college or any holiday. I have rented a room at Nagaon near Nowgong College. The place where I stay is very good and the locals are very calm and quiet.

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
