Factors which attracts me: Biswanath College aims to provide quality education and holistic development to the students from the Biswanath region and nearby areas. Admission process ????: Admission to the college is based on the performance in the higher secondary examination. The college follows the reservation policies of the state government for different categories of students. And also for major/honours subject the HOD conduct a entrance examination.
1.Quality Instruction: The Geography department at Biswanath College is known to have experienced and qualified faculty who provide excellent instruction in the subject. 2.Well-Equipped Labs: The college has modern, well-equipped geography laboratories with advanced tools and technologies like surveying equipment, GIS software, and remote sensing data. Students get hands-on experience in applying geographical concepts and techniques. 3.Field Trips and Excursions: As part of the Geography program, the department organizes regular field trips and excursions to nearby places of geographical interest. This helps students gain first-hand knowledge and apply their classroom learning.
In the absence of an internship program, Biswanath College is missing a crucial element that can significantly enrich the overall learning experience and career prospects of its students. Addressing this gap should be a top priority for the institution to stay competitive and provide a well-rounded education.
It is surprising to learn that Biswanath College does not have an established internship program for its students. Internships are a crucial component of a holistic educational experience, providing students with practical exposure and a competitive edge in the job market. The absence of an internship program at Biswanath College is a significant drawback that the institution should address. Internships offer students the opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios, develop industry-relevant skills, and build professional networks. Moreover, internships also serve as a bridge between academic learning and the demands of the job market, better preparing students for their future careers.0
The students come from diverse backgrounds, creating a multicultural environment on campus. This promotes interaction, exchange of ideas, and a sense of community. Campus Infrastructure: The college campus is spread over a sprawling area and has well-maintained infrastructure. There are modern classrooms equipped with teaching aids like projectors and whiteboards to facilitate interactive learning. The college has well-stocked library with a vast collection of books, journals, and digital resources.
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
