1 The most important criteria for me while choosing a college was ranking which is 2nd, and 2 location is in Mumbai 3 Good patient exposure 4 Good faculty with all types of instruments available 5 Different types of seminars, events, and workshops are conducted along with guest lectures
The course consists of four years and one-year compulsory internship All the faculties are well qualified and have their master's and teaching experiences for more several years, teaching methods include lectures, live demos on the cast, patients There are 3 internal assessment exams conducted every year and then a final university exam There is a fee hike of 10-15% every year, my fee was 69000 per year for the 2019-20batch and reserved category it is way less due to the scholarship There is a scholarship for the open category for academics- the Tata scholarship
There is a compulsory internship for one year and it is just as it increases the quality of work for the student and it is provided by the government There is a stipend of 17699 per month The students do a rotary internship where they experience all kinds of patients.
There is no such placement as it is a professional course, the students after completion of the final year needed to go through a year internship and after that, it depends on the student for higher studies or clinic or government jobs
The campus is not so big so students which dream of big campuses will find it a letdown, but the area is south Mumbai and located near a station and bus stop Annual fest is conducted every year by the intern batch which is the main event and most festivals are celebrated in the hostel There are no such clubs and the campus consists of a college building cum dental hospital, hostel, general hostel, and staff residency. There is no special ground for sports, in annual fest, sports events are conducted on a booked ground like cricket, football, volleyball, athletic events and more I opted for a hostel and is super affordable with yearly fees of four thousand rupees with proper facilities. There is a mess located in a hostel and there is a pay and eat system, all kinds of food are available but the quality is not so good, tiffin services are also available and are decent For registration for a hostel, a form is filled and submitted to the rector while admission and then rooms are allowed
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
