I always wanted to study at the University of Delhi this was one of the main reasons and the second was Motilal Nehru College is one of the best colleges on the South campus of Delhi University. I was admitted in 2019 at that time there was no CUET EXAM, my selection was based on cut-off marks of class 12 top 4 subjects. As far as I remember I got around 85% marks at that time you have to check the website for cut you have to sort out your course and colleges according to your cut then go to the college to get admission within 3 days from cut off release date I got selected in the first cut I got the option to choose from 4 to 5 colleges from that I opted for Motilal Nehru College. There was nothing like any specific exam or interview for selection only you have to qualify for the cut that's it.
I am from a PCM background but I always wanted to study social studies so I had that in my mind when I started searching on YouTube and Google about the University of Delhi then I came to know about this course BA program where you can choose 2 subjects of humanities, I like that very much as it will help me in my government preparation as well So I opted for a BA program (history + political science) Faculties are well qualified and punctual, in government colleges major concern is about professor punctuality but as I have noticed in my College teachers are punctual mostly There is no kind of delay in the examination of the semester everything goes as per the schedule. After all, this is Delhi University At that time in 2019 to 2022 The fee was around 8500 including exam fees per annum.

I am from a humanities background It is always difficult for us to get placed I never tried to get a placement as it was not my target I always added my aim for government jobs so I never opted for any internship or placement But many of my friends who were from BCOM You have to keep on checking University websites Delhi University organises placement opportunities on a mass level where lots of big companies and recruiters come In our college as well as much I know LIC, Uber Eats, and many online websites recruiters were there. IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
