After your 12th grade you need to give either the MHT-CET or JEE Mains to be eligible to apply to this college. The cutoff for 2021 admissions were 97 percentile in MHT-CET for the CS branch. I got admitted to the IT branch at 91 percentile from OBC reservation quota. You need good percentile (above 90) in JEE Mains of you are a Non Maharashtra applicant.
I chose the IT branch because I wanted to pursue software engineering. The college is affiliated to SPPU university. There are total 8 semesters in 4 years. In each semester you have an mid semester exam and an end semester exam. In this college you have class tests and mock laboratory practicals before the final exams. There is Class test 1 before the mid semester exam and a Class test 2 before the end semester exam. There are also mock laboratory practicals before the final practical. The faculty are supportive but seriously lack academic knowledge. The fees for General category are around 1.2 lakh per year, for OBC category it is around 60 to 70 thousand per year and for SC/ST category it is 13 to 20 thousand per year.
Only one internship opportunity was offered from Oracle, for the role of Associate Software engineer with stipend of 50 thousand per month and the duration is 2 months. Other than that there are no internship opportunities offered in 2024
Placements for recent years is extremely low only 19 students are placed in 2024 batch. A few notable recruiters are Cognizant, ElasticRun, HDFC bank, Oracle and Infosys. The eligibility criteria differs from company to company but the basic criteria is no existing backlogs and minimum of 6 aggregate GPA. The highest package offered in 2024 is 9lpa and the lowest is 3lpa
The infrastructure of the campus is good. The labs and hostels are well maintained. The campus is extremely small consisting of only three buildings (2 academic and one hostel). There are plenty of clubs like GDSC and GFG student chapter. Various sessions are conducted for academic and extracurricular knowledge. The library is well maintained too with plenty of books. For hostel the fees are around 60 thousand per year (triple sharing room), 70 thousand per year (double sharing room) and 77 thousand per year (single sharing room). The monthly canteen cost is 3800 rupees per month in which you get breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
