- Easy access to libraries and reading room ... Also there are computers in library you can work on if you prefer studying online
- Sports facility is great with availability of football field , badminton court , lawn tennis , basketball court and regular sports meet .
Dislikes
- Campus is not very large as it is merged with the hospital site and hence not much place to roam around .. but sure presence of parks around gives a plus point
- There are no literary clubs or Student unions which could have been a great help .
Remarks :
The location was the main bias for choice as it is close to my home. Other good colleges I was getting at my rank were far beyond. Per se, the atmosphere here is great with all the parks and a well-developed city with everything available at hand. Also, It is a top reputed college considered associated with PGI Chd.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course which I am pursuing i.e. MBBS is a 5.5-year degree with an internship programme of 1 yr at the end. Being a govt college located in the center of Haryana and Punjab. It receives a lot of vivid cases from different areas and hence the exposure and chances to learn are improved. Also, the seniors are very helpful, in case you opt for USMLE or INICET you did get good guidance. The teaching staff is great, The main stuff you learn through clinics which are great here due to the rushed Wards and experienced teachers who have graduated from much reputed colleges in Chandigarh or DELHI.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are in the last year and it is within the hospital associated with the college itself .. the salary during that period is around 30k per month which we receive 3 monthly and since it is a government college, the cases are diverse are great in number, so the learning opportunities are great.
Placement Experience :
Placements depend on your NEET PG rank or whichever exam you go through .. studying at GMCH sure does add to your CV. In the internship itself, we start earning about 30k per month. After the degree, it all depends on what you choose to do. Getting a job after MBBS can offer you about 80k-1lakh anywhere .. Doing a post-grad also offers a similar amount or as dependent on the college you get ... For example, colleges in Delhi give you about 1.2 lakh and some other privates give you 60k+
Campus Life :
Mid at campus there is a ramp and gazebo for sitting with your friends outside the college not much of a college canteen as a hospital canteen. But on the hostel campus, there are different canteens and also a barber shop which kind of gives it the credit. Also, the hostels at the Sarai building which are for boys are considerably luxurious with all the tilings and joining washrooms. GMCH is well known for the parties held here which are Euphoria - the intercollege, Plexus- the intercollege, and the freshers which are the usual .. Many other activities are organized regularly.. though there are no clubs or unions which would have been a good thing.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
