First thing which every student looks for his a campus although the Chowpatty branch of Bhavans college does not has a campus. College has big classrooms, computer labs, Gymkhana, canteen, clean washrooms, ladies common room but not a giant campus. Admission is through the cap round system and the cutoff is also moderate not much like a average student can get admission there. Central admission process that's after the result of class 12th then colleges declare their cutoffs, later we apply it is we want and then according to cut off and rounds we get college allotted. There are almost 3 to 4 rounds or ever more depending on the strength of students applying.
I have interest in Science and that is why I took BSc to purse you what I want. I have taken BSc general i.e CBZ for my first year. The faculty year is well qualified like almost the Phd holders, teachers in this college allotted by the examination NET and SET. During my first year I had two semester and the examinations were in semester system. The lectures and practicals are conducted daily. The fees is average not much, and easily affordable for a middle class family for both aided and un aided courses. As of my knowledge the highest fees for any course would be 20000 per anum or may be less but not more than that. Freeship and Scholarships are available which are given by the Government and other than this the college also provides scholarship and cash prize to toppers and rank holders.
I honestly enjoyed my campus life. There are two major events one is kalashree and one is Kalarang. Kala rang is the annual event of the college, many notable alumni join us for this event. Other than this there are departmental events like for BSc we had Biozaac, Commerce students have Comaccstaan, BMS students have Manzeal, etc. Many other colleges also approach a college for their intercollegiate events. College has a big Gymkhana where indoor sports set up is available and incase of outdoor sports practice is done on Azad Maidan, Churchgate. The college also has a huge Library with many genres of books. The Student Council of the college maintains the Instagram page of the college other than this the council also handles the problems faced by students and make improvements in the college. The council also conducts and volunteers for various events in the college. NSS is also there in the college. It also conducts various camps and events. The college also has its own website
The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.

Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown, people are more focused on mental health, thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.
