- The college is in Dadar which is a very good location. It also has its own hotel which is used both for business purposes and for the practical part of students in rooms division dept. The fests, arrangement, discipline maintained everything's is good. The faculty is very supportive and experienced. They're unbiased.
Dislikes
- The hostel rooms are very oldddddd. We get a Seaview,but rest everything is not as good as you'll hope for. There are seepages in the walls, in rooms, washrooms,and even the corridor and common area. The building and classes are old and rusty. They've got cracks. Talking about the mess , the food is average,at the Beginning of the 1st semester it was all good but now idk what happened. There's only 2 rotis served during the night which was bad for me because I was not accustomed to eating rice in dinner. The snacks served in the evening are majorly from south india. And even the breakfast dishes. During lunch,even as a hostellite you stand in long queues waiting for the second years and third years get their food after which you'll be served. And they don't even pay for the lunch.
Remarks :
So I gave the NCHMCT JEE exam,which is the entrance exam for hotel management colleges all over India. I secured 540 marks out of 800 and got a rank of AIR 375. So I couldn't get IHM Pusa but Mumbai is the second best college in India for HM so I chose this college. So that's a good thing. But talking about the place , Mumbai... it's a bit expensive to live outside the college hostel compared to Pusa,Kolkata or Lucknow. There were no GD or PI after the entrance test For preparation,use the arihant book for NCHMCT JEE latest edition, it'll cost you around 400 rupees. Cover all the chapters from all subjects i.e English, GK, maths, reasoning,and service aptitude. Even if you study about a month before the exam and practice all the previous year papers you'll be able to crack the exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
BSc is the best course which you can opt for if you want to pursue a career in hotel management. If you're only interested in a particular field before hand then you can opt for the diploma courses in that particular field but BSc covers everything. Faculty is very nice,knowledgeable, experienced and frank too. The teaching methods are very nice, they're open to all kinds of conversations or doubts. They ensure each one of us learn something before leaving the class and discipline is a must. The term exams were well on time ,and the difficulty level was easy if you study even an hour twice or thrice a week. The tution fees is pretty affordable and if you have a home in Mumbai then it is even better. If you get 90% or above in your 12th boards then you're eligible for scholarship. And besides that all kinds of scholarships are available here.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I'll be proceeding towards the industrial training period which is in the second year. You are eligible for doing your IT from any hotel in India,better be a 5 star property. They take interviews if you're in Mumbai and online interviews if you're planning to do it from somewhere else. All the hotels like Taj, Oberoi and JW come for the IT recruitment. Stipend of around 3 to 5 k is given per month to the trainees. You're exposed to the real world setup of hospitality operations. It is ensured that you get an experience working in all the four major core departments.
Placement Experience :
I'm a first year student so idk about the eligibility criteria but I think it'll be just passing in all the subjects. All the popular hotel chains and even the fresh brands or startup companies come here for recruitment. I don't have an idea about the packages offered . After getting the degree you can have a master's degree in hm or even plan to get a master's in some other field like business, marketing or hr.
Campus Life :
Every other day there're fests going on in the college. And every festival from each part of the country is celebrated. Starting from the independence day,then the World tourism day,onam,navratri's dandiya garba night, Ganesh chaturthi,Christmas gala, missletoemania ,cornucopia,then the platinum Jubilee celebration,Holi and the farewell... everything's is celebrated and they spend too much for every event. Every kind of book related to hospitality education (only) is available in the Library. Classrooms are old,there are fans, like every other govt school. There's table tennis room in the hostel building. Carrom and chess can also be played. But outdoors there are no playing grounds . There's a basketball court which is also a parking for the hotel and also the area for volleyball court. But none of these is played. Only badminton is a regular game but the net is torn. There're no social groups as such,the food in mess is average, and if you live outside,it's very expensive in dadar.

Placement Experience :
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track

The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed

Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.

Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .

There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.

The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
