The college environment and campus is good . The classrooms are of great size and condition of desk and bench are good .Smart classrooms are also available for students in our college . Wifi facility is available but no Air conditioners are available in our college and there is lack of electricity supply and shortage .generator is present but it is not in working condition. To get admission in polytechnic students have to give an entrance exam known as PAT polytechnic admission test and students who are 10th pass and higher can apply for this test which basically includes class 10 th maths and science syllabus. The cut off generally ranges between 60 % for sc and st. I prepared for this test after completing class 12th and now iam in this college
I opted for civil engineering because iam intrested in construction works AutoCAD drawings surveying and etc. Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable their teaching method is great and teacher to student ratio is good . Exams are of moderate level exams are conducted at the end of each semester and class tests are conducted during the mid semester. Fee structure is average the full course will cost around 20 -35k which includes hostel fees. Scholarships are also provided to students .
Yes intership opportunities are provided in our college .companies like napco, NF railways, industrial workshops ,water resource, PWD road are offered. Industrial trainings are guided by some experience site engineers and after completion of training we are provided with a certificate of completion under that company the time period for training is between 15-20 days.
Placements rate is average in our college after completing 5th semester students are eligible for on campus placements. Few visted recruiters are ongc napco oil India NF railways come in our college . The highest package went upto 75-80 k and average package is around 20k . Percentage of students eligible for placements are average as cgpa and sgpa are considered for jobs so average ratio is 6/10 .After completing the degree my plan is doing Btech and getting a high paying job or my own business.
College campus is great annual fests, freshers, farewell general elections , sports week are conducted every year . Library is also available in our college varieties of collections of books and journals are available . Annual sports are conducted every year which includes games like chess badminton long jumps and etc . No personal websites are available in our college . One big problem in this college is there is no boys hostel facility available in the campus only girls hostel is provided so boys have to stay in pgs by paying high rents. Hostel fees is average around 2k food quality is average . Pgs are available near the college personally I didn't stayed in pgs as college was not far from my home.
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
