The driving force which motivated me to pursue MBBS was my dad who is also a doctor for the past 25 years. The college I chose was AIIMS, Nagpur. The best things about my college is that you get 1) a fully finished world class government college 2) minimum fees of 5856 Rs for the entire course while the same course in a private medical college would cost around 1.5 crore Rs. 3) all types of sports facilities both outdoor and indoor available 4) well experienced faculties for all the subjects 5) zero tolerance in ragging However there are a few things I don't like about my college: 1) mess food quality is average 2) stray dogs in college. But overall I like the infrastructure and learning facilities available here. To get an admission in AIIMS, Nagpur, one has to first clear National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) with an outstanding score. The cut off varies everywhere but it remains always above the 99th percentile. Last year the cut off rank for general category was1187
The reason behind me choosing this course was to improve the healthcare facilities in India and help Indians with affordable treatment and medicines with only the resources which are 100% swadeshi. Every faculty of our collrge has at least a double degree of MBBS and MD. Some even have DNB under their name. A lot of them are researchers and have PhD as well. The faculties are well experienced in delivering the best quality education to the students. The exams are conducted throughout the course. There are 3 professional exams which decide whether you can get the MBBS degree. Apart from that, internal assessments are conducted twice every year. The exams are very difficult and test the depth of your learning. The fee of MBBS is decided by the government so a hike in fees is rare. The government provides scholarships to students from the weaker sections of the society. The list of scholarships can be viewed from the scholarship portal of the GOI. Overall, MBBS is way cheaper in AIIMS.
I've not opted for any internship as it is my first year in college but definitely looking forward to it in the coming years. But there are several workshops and seminars conducted throughout the year which I take part.
For placement, the student must have completed MBBS and is provided with internship in the same college for 1 year. Placement in hospitals is based on another exam called INICET which is a course for the PGT. Basically the salary for PGTs is fixed at around 90000 Rs per month but once they pass residency, they can earn upto 5L Rs. per month. The percent of students getting placements is 100%. My plan after getting MBBS is to clear INICET and choose Radiology (MD).
An annual fest conducted in our college called Hallucia usually in the month of October but the month can be varied based on the exams. A huge library is available just opposite to the Administrative block which is called as the Learning Resource Centre. It contains every book relevant to MBBS, MD, MS. Books can be borrowed from the library as well. There are 3 reading rooms with one of them being open 24 × 7. Every famous journal related to medicine and surgery is available. The classrooms are huge with a seating capacity of 125. Two projectors and a large plasma screen in front. 4 huge speakers and the faculties are provided with a mic. There is a football ground, cricket ground, basketball court, volleyball court, two gyms and an indoor badminton court. The Student Council is responsible for conducting all events in college. It's an unofficial group created by students. The food quality is average and menu is revised every 2 months. If PG to be rented, Shiv Kailasa(200 metres) away
The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown, people are more focused on mental health, thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.
Student must pass all the Sem for the placement or college is new thats why there was no records about placement, My after the degree to be a indie game developer and build an aweosom game with the help of C++
