I got alloted with a seat during CET cap rounds. I had put in multiple college. But got selected in this one. There is no need to discuss anything if you are selected through cap. But you may need in case you are taking admission through management quota
The course covers wide range of fields in computer science. Curriculum followed is the standard appu syllabus. Exams and all the guidelines are followed as they are instructed by the university. For academics I would say 1st year staff is very good and well educated. The branch faculty is not that good. At least for (IT). As I am from Maharashtra, half of my tution fees are waived off due to scholarship. I apply on mahadbt portal every year. That's why it costs me around 78k. But for open it's around 125k.
Eligibility depends on company to company. But when renowned companies appear, due to central placement around 2000-3000 students apply to them. But it's okay, beacause that is still better than off campus placement. Some of the highest paid companies : nvidia, Bentley systems, Infosys.
The campus is very nature friendly. There are trees and gardens throughout the campus. It's very large. There are multiple colleges around here, so when the fests happen you get to enjoy all of them. Almost all the students prefer hostels. But the city life is 0 over here. You'll need to bring bikes in order to Rome freely. Also my college is located up the hill, so it's 400m walk up the hill. In monsoon it gets worst. But the view gets even beautiful. Hostels are very clean and neat. Im in third year and still I'm living in my hostel. Mess food is not that good, you can hedge that by bringing an induction ( which is not allowed but you can keep it unnoticed). Also there are not more places where you can get good and affordable food. The ones which offer both are crowded on Sundays.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
