- Gangadhar Meher University has a very great and vast infrastructure which includes buildings of many departments starting from +2 upto PhD degree. It has a very big ground also for sports and activities.
- In Gangadhar Meher University all the teachers are highly literate and very cooperative and helping in nature.
- Campus Life is also very great in my view. Gangadhar Meher University is full of greenery and is in the middle of the Town Sambalpur.
Dislikes
- I didn't liked that outsiders were also being allowed inside the campus but now it has been resolved.
- The college canteen is not so upto the mark.
Remarks :
You can get into this college by merit list. There is no such GD or PI. Cutoff changes year to year. The higher the 12th score, the more your chance to get into a BCom degree at Gangadhar Meher University. Nothing else.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is very good and teachers are very cooperative with students. I did 12th in commerce and hence decided to continue in this field. Most of the BCom teachers have Ph.D. degrees here. Fees are also very low as it is a government College. Various scholarships are also available.
Internships Opportunities :
I got an internship at Aditya Birla Group as a graduate trainee for 3 months where my work was to control the accounts of the company under the trainer. I was getting a stipend of? 10000 per month. The work was neither easy nor very hard. It was doable once you learned how to do it properly.
Placement Experience :
At Gangadhar Meher University, BCom students get good numbers of placement offers during and after graduation. But Many students opt for higher studies and that makes the placement percentage down. Nothing else. Companies like Aditya Birla Group and Hindalco etc visit here. The average package after BCom here is? 4-5 lpa. The highest is 7 lpa. I am graduated from here and now doing my MBA.
Campus Life :
Campus life is very great! I was a day scholar but sometimes I was living with my friends who were hostelers and there everyone was very friendly. Our college organises various sports activities like football, cricket, volleyball, long jump etc which engages students in physical fitness also. Various social activities are also done here like dance competitions, rangoli competitions, Food fest, Annual functions etc. The hostels are also in very good condition and the hostel food is also good as I have personally tasted it. There are many PGs also for both girls and boys who did not get hostel rooms.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
