Remarks :

No, I did not face any group discussions, Interviews, or written tests for admission. The admission was solely based on my CLAT Rank. Factors were Location, Reasonable fee structure, Access to a huge alumni base, Convenience in internships, Not so heavy curriculum so that I could focus on building important skill sets.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have always been interested in the profession of Law and it was the most obvious choice for me that came to me naturally considering my skill sets and zeal for doing something that fruitfully serves society. Though the faculties are very well educated and hold many doctorate degrees, I find the teaching style to be old and mechanical with less focus on the recent updates. Some faculties are nice while others are not up to the mark. The teaching method is more theoretical with less practical exposure. Exams are very frequent with internals (minor examinations) before every mid-semester and final semester exams. There are 2 semesters per year. The fee structure is reasonable and I am not taking the benefit of any scholarship or financial assistance though there are provisions of financial assistance for children from weaker financial backgrounds provided they fulfill certain criteria for the same.

Internships Opportunities :

1. Juris Corp - IBC, PMLA, DRT - was offered a stipend of Rs. 5, 000/- 2. Judicial internship in HC 3. AOR 4. Boutique Law firms etc. 5. State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission 6. District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission

Placement Experience :

Placement and Job opportunities are very scarce. Students mostly opt for off-campus placements. Despite a weak placement cell, the alumni are all well settled and are doing great in the profession which according to me is a fruit of the prime location of Delhi and the networking opportunities that a person receives here. I plan to join a Corporate Firm after completing my degree.

Campus Life :

one of the biggest annual cultural fests of Delhi - Anugoonj, takes place at the GGSIPU campus which has a footfall of around 1 Lakh people every year. It takes place in February every year. Books are available but are outdated and the updated versions are still not available. The library infrastructure is one of my favorite parts and is very efficient for long study hours. Classroom amenities are average. Not all classrooms have ACs. Sports infrastructure is excellent with a different ground/space for almost every sport including cricket, TT, Badminton, football, basketball, volleyball, etc. There are many social groups and clubs which are fairly active. The hostels are another best part of the college. all of the rooms are single occupancy and the infrastructure is up to the mark. The mess food is absolutely fine. The cost is also very reasonable - 60, 000 per year. I am myself living in the hostel.

Distance learning along with fun.

Placement Experience :

IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.

DU Experience Packed with Learning, Practical Skills, and Dedicated Student Portfolio

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Gargi Colleg , Delhi university

Placement Experience :

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Placement Experience :

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
