- As a student i like the freedom in college as there no such hard restrictions in college about timings.
- Our engineering department HOD is very supportive.
Dislikes
- Almost all faculty that have minimal knowledge about there respective subjects.
- Campus life is very boring as the quality of students is not there also mentioning the low attendance of students.
Remarks :
I just wanted to have no issue regarding attendance because I was preparing for the NDA exam as I had planned to leave college when i cleared the NDA but I ended up being here as I didn't clear it. No, i didn't face any group discussion or any kind of written test. A teacher just assured me of the scholarship which I didn't got after taking admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is designed by the university so it is still decent but the academic part here is pathetic as the faculty has minimal knowledge about the subject and they just teach what is provided in the notes they are being provided with no practical experience and knowledge. Fees and scholarships are the factors for which this college is famous for as almost 40% of students are those who take scholarships and in return, they don't pay attention to the course, in my class only, the students with the most backlogs are the students who receive scholarships.
Internships Opportunities :
As i am in the 7th sem,so i have only opted for industrial training (4th sem) at solitaire infosys in mohali,punjab. I am not dependent on my college for any internship offers, i will myself apply for the internship programmes in 8th sem.
Placement Experience :
The kind of job roles and companies visit there,you only need a graduation or sometimes not(job role-Customer service representative) The highest package claimed by college is 33 lakh but i haven't heard about a student with that package. The average package must be around 3 lakhs per annum Highest would be around 5-6 lakhs if you are lucky enough.
Campus Life :
Campus life is also quite boring as the students strength is low and also those who have taken admission doesn't come to college because wither they are doing jobs or they are just think that it is not worth it to go to college. Talking about the clubs,there is basically no tradition of clubs but still if the college supports the formation of club(as i introduced technology club there) but Students are unwilling to cooperate. I am not currently living in hostel but i stayed there in my 4th semester and it was also not so memorable as there is active social life as students mostly stays in rooms only in evening also. Only sports which they play is cricket. Also talking of sports activities, i have seen first that doesn't have a college team of any sports ,they just never appear in the university tournament. Hostel rooms are still okay but the mess is literally messed ,the food there is below average and the mess incharge doesn't listen to students advices or requests.

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

Placement Experience :
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
