This college was allowed to be on the 3rd merit list. I scored 98 percent marks in class 12, and in the 3rd merit list, I had an option between khalsa and drc. I chose DRC because it was a girls’ college and had better infrastructure and an overall better environment. Its location is also in the middle of the north campus.
I chose this course as I have been very much interested in economics since class 10th. I have always been intrigued by the concepts of economics and mathematics, thus I chose this subject. The faculty was great, the teachers were quite informed and educated. Some of them are not so great at teaching but overall I was taught by great teachers. Exams happen every semester (finals) while in between there are either sems (50 mks)/ assignments and class tests.
I haven’t applied for any internships. Internships are provided by P-Cell Eg: insplore, auor studios Stipend: 10-15k maximin Also, the internship opportunities are not so great, you can find better options on Internshala, and LinkedIn.
Min 6.5 cgpa/ no eligibility criteria as such Deloitte, KPMG, namo India, Accenture, max, visiontek engineers, inspire, author studios, etc Many offers are made this time Avg package: 4-6 LPA Highest: 10 LPA Profiles: Bcom hons. Economics Hons, BA Hons basically Placements are not great, many good companies don’t come to college.
Fest is conducted every year Name of the fest: Manjari, it's a two-day fest. In Jan / Feb/March. The library is great, fully air-conditioned, and all kinds of books are available here New Classrooms are built, but lack ACs Sports- gym, ground. Doesn’t have a tennis/ badminton court. Many clubs and societies are there, western dance. Western music, marketing, finance cell, entrepreneurship cell, northeast cell, women empowerment cell, etc. there’s a website to check the daily announcements. Hostel- affordable for less availability of seats, A PG is better instead
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
