Remarks :

When I was in the process of choosing colleges, it was based on my percentage, I had my percentage as a benchmark and I compared different colleges and history hons. In ARSD seemed to be the best option. I looked at factors like faculty, NIRF and naac rankings, infrastructure, etc. However, things with admission are different now after the new education policy. Now, it's based on the scores of cuet ug. The rankings of Arsd have increased drastically in the last three years. It is no. 6th in NIRF and stands somewhat on the top of NAAC ratings so I think it would be wise to give ARSD a chance while opting for colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview :

A bachelor in History wasn't a goal but something that I had to take up because I wanted to pursue law after this, but when I got enrolled, the teachers and the course content made me like the subject. The fees for my course were not much. It was approximately 11000 for a whole year. We were given two assignments or one assignment and 1 presentation to give per subject every semester and exams were taken half-yearly that is semester-wise. The fees of the course itself are not much but if you also have to pay for accommodation that is where the money factor comes in. It is really expensive to live in Delhi plus all the amenities and food etc add up to a large sum. I used to have pocket money of around 20-25k which was more than enough for me even after paying my rent of 9k per month and electricity charges. I used to live in Satya Niketan, so food was always an issue because I could not find a decent tiffin service there.

Internships Opportunities :

I am going to pursue law after my graduation but for people trying to go into the corporate world right after their college, ARSD might not be the best option. The placement cell of the college is moderately active and they manage to find decent companies looking to hire college students for decent roles but the opportunities are not very bright neither is the guidance.

Placement Experience :

The placement cell of the college is not very active. It brings certain companies to the college but they are just about mediocre at best. Few students opt for on-campus placement as the placement fair that I attended did not seem very promising.

Campus Life :

Social life on campus in college is not much, students who live in pg live nearby and do not have to endure a travel as long as 4-5 hours every day. I had friends who changed metros several times and then buses and then rickshaws and it seemed too hectic. *Our annual college fest, 'Tide' was really good and was managed by the student union and the cultural society. Every society conducts inter-college competitions, and several stalls, and games are also available. However, after COVID-19, the artist nights were not as big as they used to be before. The library is well-equipped and has air conditioning. All books are available for issuing. The process is fairly simple. In my last year of college, I saw increased attention on team sports like cricket, football and volleyball. Equipments and racquets for table tennis, badminton, carrom, etc were always available for students to play with. Arsd does not have a hostel but a place nearby called Satya Niketan has plenty of flats and pgs.

Distance learning along with fun.

Placement Experience :

IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.

DU Experience Packed with Learning, Practical Skills, and Dedicated Student Portfolio

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Gargi Colleg , Delhi university

Placement Experience :

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Placement Experience :

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
