- Not very heavy pressure on students for studies and assignments and infrastructure is overall good as all classes are provided with air conditioner faculties are helpful depending up on the branch you have chosen faculties are very well qualified with some having all India rank under 50 in major competitive exams they have very good amount of knowledge which will surely help to get group of the subject
- If you are trying to pursue any other profession you have large amount of free time is study for any other competitive exams or entrance exams for higher studies and not very difficult syllabus so there is good amount of time to study without too much difficulty
Dislikes
- No separate buildings for different branches 3 branches are in same building and no placement opportunities at very good level
- No hostels are provided for the students and sometimes you have to study all the subjects by around as there are no faculties to teach you and some faculties just don't come to teach all you have to study by your own
Remarks :
Some of the key factors that made me choose this college are that it's the best Government Engineering College in Chhattisgarh the best faculties are in the civil engineering branch and there is not too much pressure on the students about the assignments or attendance overall a good learning environment experienced faculties who have cracked major exams like GATE. For admission, you have to prepare for the entrance exam which is cgpet examination and if you have a good rank then you are eligible to take admission It depends upon the branch you are trying to pursue for general category students under 200 to 300 for computer science branch and rest depends upon the branch you want to choose you have ample amount of time to study for any other competitive exams as there is no study pressure
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is not very up to date but is sufficient for you to be ready for the field not a very heavy curriculum at academic depends upon your performance and overall behavior faculties are very good and some are not very helpful but overall they all will assist to you in your problems various scholarships are given to category and Kota students general students also get scholarship named tuition fee waver with depends upon your cgpet rank and branch rank. The female student doesn't require any fees and they also get a scholarship which may go up to 50000 per year various other scholarships are also there like post matric scholarship merit cum means scholarship exams are held timely according to the academic calendar a bit late because of covet and not very difficult exams fees is nominal which is 18000 per year for male candidate female student doesn't require any fees and various other scholarships are also available.
Internships Opportunities :
Different internship opportunities are given after the second year completion which depends upon your area of interest and the field you're willing to work in with different companies government organizations or government institutes all the different formalities will be easily provided by the college.
Placement Experience :
Placement doesn't occur frequently only a few people get placed depending on their overall performance which is also in Limited branches like computer science and very really in core branches like civil engineering maximum packages are around 4 to 5 lakh on campus you if you're willing to take admission you should prepare for any other competitive exams or government exams then only you can get placed.
Campus Life :
College does have a hostel but it was previously given to IIT Bhilai so there is no hostel for general students only for SC ST students they provide hostels soon they will provide to all the student's annual fest be held and its name is AAVESH and the sports fest is AAYAM which is held usually during winter season libraries their for all the kind of books and journals or classrooms are provided with air conditioner all the basic sports facilities are there like cricket ground basketball ground table tennis football etc different competitive sports are also held and a lot of clubs are there for extracurricular activities like code for a community club for coding and NSS club for social welfare language oriented club for language development localities are there for PGS which is good people are friendly and helpful lot of PGS and hostels are there for boys and girls both with all the basic facilities

I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. Placement Experience :
Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
