- Campus life - the culture, the environment will really let you learn a lot.

- Canteen - the food is good but too oily. Not recommended for daily basis.
- Classroom - no Air conditioner but has the rest
Remarks :
The college is located in a nice scenic place in Meghalaya. The climate is usually optimal for studying. There is no entrance examination to gain admission to USTM. Which is both a good and bad aspect of USTM. Students can apply directly from the website. Depending on the availability of seats the students will be admitted for their desired course.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I'm interested in R&D and USTM provided me with the best in all aspects (the teaching, the environment, the facilities). The faculties are highly qualified, majority of them have done their P.hds. Besides the qualifications of the faculties, they are very helpful and motivating. The term exams are always held after 6 months, there is no delay in conducting these exams, and the difficultly level is usually medium to hard. There is no fee hike policy, and the cost to study can be considered affordable.
Internships Opportunities :
There are no internships in my department. Although some departments provide internships. However, if you like to perform any internship outside the campus it's quite easy. They easily absorb you if they come to know that you are from us.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placement is to qualify the semester exams without any back. HDFC, Fundazz etc. recruiters visited. The highest package offered is 90LPA and the average package is 9LPA Around 50% of students get placement I was admission to VIT Vellore, to carry out my Master's degree.
Campus Life :
There are several fests conducted by USTM, the most recently held fest was Managemia 2.0 in April. Talking about the library can be considered one of the best libraries in the entire state of Meghalaya. There are no such books or journals one cannot find. The classroom amenities are not that good but yes it has all the basic requirements, and it also has a smart classroom. The university has many sports and extracurricular activities within the campus. It includes football, basketball, badminton etc. It also has a gym, which is free for the hostels. Ustm students have social WhatsApp groups and Instagram handles, which are run by students themselves. The hostel review is not upto the mark, the food quality and the other amenities are not good. Moreover, the hostel has limited accommodation and most of the time they run out of beds. However, it is affordable and the registration is done during the admission itself. In the nearby areas, there are good accommodations for rent/PG.

There is no placement cell in college,but i have planned for NORCET EXAM and NCLEX for job in foreign country and in the meantime i will join any private hospital which pay me good money and along with it i will prepare for NORCET

Placements are mid , my seniors got placed in various companies, and last year a seniot got placed in google with 20LPA i guess , the average package is low but the placement cell is trying to bring companies

The employment rate of my course is demanding so I opt this. Also there is campus opportunity for some courses available in the college. After biotechnology you can choose any profession like professor researcher etc .

Job opportunities from our college is not quite good, but our college is renowned for their excellence in commerce so employability after completion of course is not a big issue especially for me, i personally would like to get involved in financial sectors

Since it's a college affiliated under NEHU, so there's only graduation course here. But if you want to do masters you have go to NEHU for that. Only then you will get a good placement. But I had friends in other departments they were given the opportunity to sit for placement interview but again the package isn't as high as someone would get after post graduation.

Placement opportunities were not directly available but many companies and institutions scouted our students through seminars and programmes for further job after the degree. The package differed from student to student and they were offered individually to them so it was hard to know the exact number.

80% placement is sure 100% sure 23k for the new minimum it is 4 to 5 lakh package which is amazing as a fresher and the PG rooms is also good idli do output percentage of students getting plus mint and criteria is from the website.

Since I’m still under graduation , I don’t know much about the placements here. But my plans after my graduation is to persue MBA from a good university. But as I’ve heard from my seniors, the placements here are quite good and many of the students grab the placement opportunities that are offered here.
