I chose this college because of its excellent faculty and environment. Being an all-science college with a strong sports culture and functional societies gave this college an edge over the others. I did not face any Group Discussions or PI for my admission, it was based on merit i.e. performance of my 12th grade.
Studying Electronics in my BSc has provided me with a deep understanding of circuitry, signals and electronic devices as I always had an interest towards it and it's a field that merges theoretical knowledge with practical hand application preparing me for a career in telecommunications, computing and beyond. The faculty of BCAS is highly knowledgeable and supportive guiding students through complex topics with ease and expertise. They provide no scholarship and as it is a govt college the fee for 3 years is 35000.
I have done an internship as a customer support engineer for a startup petpooja.com, the experience and the exposure which I got were needed for my career in the field. I was on the front lines with the customer by answering questions and troubleshooting technical problems.
College offers limited placement opportunities as it is not like any other engineering college but students get placed with a decent package of 4lpa on an avg. Some students opt for placement while others pursue higher education or prepare for government jobs.
The annual college fest is called SRIJAN, conducted in February. This is the time of the year when each student is happiest as there is a celebration in each corner of the college, all the societies are actively conducting competitions where students from all over Delhi participate. Talking about the library the staff is supportive and there is no issue in the availability of a book. The college doesn’t have a hostel, the students have to rent a flat or a P for accommodation but it is easily available within walking distance from the college, theres a particular community of students to assist students fir the accommodation.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
