Step-by-Step Admission Process for BCAS 2026

Step 1: Appear for CUET UG 2026

Candidates must register and appear for the CUET UG 2026 exam, selecting the correct subject papers as required for their chosen B.Sc (Hons.) specialisation. A valid CUET score is mandatory for admission to BCAS.

Step 2: Register on the DU CSAS Portal

Once CUET results are declared, candidates must register on the Delhi University CSAS portal, fill in personal and academic details, and pay the CSAS registration fee. Incomplete registration will not be considered for seat allotment.

Step 3: Fill Course and College Preferences

Candidates must select their preferred courses and colleges on the CSAS portal. Choosing Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences in the preference list is essential. The preference order must be filled carefully, as seat allotment is based on CUET scores, category, and the order of preferences submitted.

Step 4: Seat Allotment

Delhi University releases seat allotment results in multiple rounds. Allotment is based on CUET score, category (UR/SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS), course eligibility, and seat availability. The closing marks may vary across rounds.

Step 5: Upload Documents for Verification

After receiving a seat allotment, candidates must upload all required documents on the portal for online verification. Missing, unclear, or incorrect documents can delay or cancel the verification process.

Step 6: Pay the Admission Fee

Once documents are verified by the college, candidates must pay the admission fee within the given deadline. Failure to pay on time may result in automatic cancellation of the allotted seat.

Step 7: Report to the College

After admission is confirmed, candidates may be required to visit Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences for physical document verification if instructed by Delhi University. After this step, students can begin attending classes.

BCAS FAQs 2026

Ques. What is the minimum CUET score needed to get admission to BCAS for B.Sc (Hons.) Computer Science?

Ans. Based on the 2025 data, the last round closing mark for B.Sc (Hons.) Computer Science at BCAS was 563 for the General category. This means students who scored at or above this mark in CUET UG had a chance of getting a seat in the final round. However, this figure changes every year depending on the number of applicants and seat availability. Students should aim for a score higher than the previous year's closing mark to improve their chances.

Ques. Does BCAS offer any hostel facility for students coming from other states?

Ans. No, Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences does not have an on-campus hostel. Students from outside Delhi usually find paying guest accommodations or rented rooms in the Dwarka area, which is close to the college. The Dwarka locality has many affordable PG options that are well connected to the college via auto, bus, or metro.

Ques. How is the attendance policy at BCAS, and what happens if a student misses too many classes?

Ans. Like all Delhi University colleges, BCAS follows the DU attendance policy, which requires students to maintain a minimum of 67% attendance in each subject. If a student's attendance falls below this limit, they may not be allowed to appear in the semester exams. Teachers track attendance regularly, so students are advised to attend classes consistently and avoid missing lectures without valid reason.

Ques. Are there any scholarships available for students at BCAS?

Ans. Yes, students at BCAS can apply for various scholarships. The central and state governments offer scholarships for students from SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories. Merit-based scholarships are also available for students with strong academic records. Students need to fill out the relevant application forms and submit the required documents within the specified deadlines to avail these benefits.

Ques. What student clubs and societies are active at BCAS, and how can students join them?

Ans. BCAS has several active student societies and clubs covering areas like cultural activities, drama, dance, music, and science-related interests. These groups organise events, fests, and competitions throughout the academic year. Students can join these societies at the beginning of the academic session, usually through an open registration or selection process announced by the college. Participating in these clubs helps students develop new skills and enjoy a well-rounded college experience.

Ques. How far is BCAS from the nearest metro station, and what are the travel options for students?

Ans. Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences is located in the Dwarka area of New Delhi. The nearest metro stations are Dwarka Sector 10 and Dwarka Sector 11 on the Delhi Metro Blue Line. Students can reach the college from these stations by auto-rickshaw or bus. Many students also commute by bike, cab, or DTC bus depending on where they live in Delhi or the NCR region.

They provide no scholarship and as it is a govt college the fee for 3 years is 35000.
