No doubt, JNU is ranked as the no. 1 university by NIRF. Secondly, the cost-effectiveness of the University attracted me. There is vast range language course in the curriculum, about 11 language in the graduation and more than 13 language in the post graduation. There is only CUET UG exam which needs to be cleared to get admission in this course.
The course curriculum is vast including the , basic language knowledge (reading and writing) , grammar tools along with the cultural history of the language. The faculties are well experienced and well versed with the curriculum and teaching method. The faculties are Professors or Assistant Professor. The first sessional, second sessional, mid-term exam, and end-semester exams are conducted in 5 months. There is no fee hike as such. Although the university provides a scholarship to every financially weak student.
I haven't attended any internship yet based on my course although there are many scholarship exams conducted such as DAAD which allow the students to fly abroad to Germany for 25-28 days.
In the German Centre, students usually go for higher studies to pursue PhD to become Assistant Professor or Professor Students go for off-campus placement in many multinational companies or even go to Germany for their higher studies or jobs.
Talking specifically of the German Centre in the School of Language, we celebrate German week in November every year, which is an exciting 7 day, series of Programs. There is a huge library which will satisfy the thirst of the learners. Here weekly and monthly Journals along with daily Hindi and English newspapers are present. There are a lot of political parties and social groups to help students. There is very cheap hostel in the campus which is available for every student except the residents of Delhi. There is a mess in every hostel which serves tasty and healthy food. Even the current External Affairs Minister, Dr S Jaishankar remembered the taste of food in the Kaveri Hostel. There is a very smooth process for registration for hostels.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
