Likes
- The campus has its own pond and garden area.
- The Principal of the college himself likes to clean the college campus early in the morning and encourages the students to keep their college clean.
Dislikes
- The washrooms are not that well maintained.Some of its doors are also broken.The taps doesn't work properly.
- Even the rooms of some departments doesn't have fans that works properly. Classes having AC are not allowed to turned on.
Remarks :
The course I chose is in the geography department and thus when I heard and saw the results of my seniors I was very impressed. The classes are held regularly and the campus is very clean and tidy. The teachers are very cooperative.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The teaching methods of the teachers are best. They also provide notes on every topic that is relevant to the students. Frequent seminars and group discussions are held within the classrooms for a better understanding of the topic. The hike in fee depends on the practical subjects it gets higher but not on regular subjects. The exams are held every two months including the class tests.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not applied for an internship yet because now I am still a newbie. The projects include going to the field and making reports on the situation. The reports are being checked by the professors and the marks are given adequately.
Placement Experience :
Not sure about the placements. But the result of your academic skills would lead to better placement for you. The percentage of students getting placements is upto 9.9 CGPA. Many scholarships are given to students to fulfil their requirements for a college degree.
Campus Life :
There are different clubs for the students to be in. The college has its website and the attendance is taken online. There's no restriction on phones on campus. The library of the college is quite big and spacious with computers. There are books on every subjects. The college also organises seminars and workshops for the knowledge enhancement of the students. College weeks are held during March and Union elections are typically held in September.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
